Well, this forum seems to have been dead post-Christmas. Huh?

Let's kick things off with an old school boys list. Pre-1938 javelin throw, when javelins were wood shafts and metal-tipped. Smashing, baby!

Good all-around thrower.

I'm working on a history of the PHSL going back to its origin in 1930, and all the way back to its original format in the Cincinnati Interscholastic meet that ran from 1895-1910. Hope to publish that one in 2-3 years.

In doing research, it appears that Cincinnati Western Hills HS was a hot-bed of Javelin throwing. I suspect they had someone that knew how to throw coaching them.
