I have them as favorites vs Chaney, Harding and Boardman. Harding and Boardman aren’t gimmes though.Even 3-7 will be tough!
I agree. I see 1 sure win on there. A couple games they might have a shot in but the odds are great.Even 3-7 will be tough!
I don't think he will be the starting QB, but he is a nice option if they need him. There aren't a lot of hs football player who can legitimately bench press 400 lbs, let alone ones who can play QB.Will be interesting to see who starts at QB for Ursuline. Rudzik has turned into a solid D-Linemen, so I'm not sure he'll be behind center
Rudzik will not be playing under center this year. A very good dlineman for the Irish who is also a good student.I don't think he will be the starting QB, but he is a nice option if they need him. There are 2 rising juniors and 1 rising soph that will be battling for the top spot in my opinion. One was the backup to start the season until he broke his hand, the soph was then the backup and played really well and there is a transfer who is already enrolled that has a good arm who will be in the mix. All three are good sized tough athletes that will be playing somewhere if not the starter. Probably on defense is my guess.
Coach Reardons son will be a freshman this year and he was the QB for a very good Saints team.
Agree. And it's true. He also did 315x4 close grip. Squatted 475×3. Does strongman. Really strong kid.Rudzik will not be playing under center this year. A very good dlineman for the Irish who is also a good student.
As for as the bench press 400, if true, is pretty damn good.
They will be favorite over South Range. Raiders lost a ton!I have them as favorites vs Chaney, Harding and Boardman. Harding and Boardman aren’t gimmes though.
I would put money that Harding running-clocks Mooney this season...I have them as favorites vs Chaney, Harding and Boardman. Harding and Boardman aren’t gimmes though.
I agree, WGH is going to be pretty good this year, I’m not sure how they can’t be sizable favorites over Mooney. I posted yesterday Canfield, Chaney, and 1 of either MLC or South Range are winnable games for the Cards. 3-7 is about right in Colaprete’s first season.I would put money that Harding running-clocks Mooney this season...
Harding needs a lot of work along both lines but I think they beat Mooney fairly easily.I would put money that Harding running-clocks Mooney this season...
Will Ursuline be getting some of those kids from that saints team?I don't think he will be the starting QB, but he is a nice option if they need him. There aren't a lot of hs football player who can legitimately bench press 400 lbs, let alone ones who can play QB.

I believe a lot of them are. Also some JFK and Harding jr highs are coming too. Will Ursuline be getting some of those kids from that saints team?
Ursuline can go several different ways at QB, I’d be surprised lf it isn’t 1 of the current Sophomores starting at QB. Every QB in that room is very talented.I think sophomore Camuso is under center for UHS. As for Mooney- should be an interesting season. Not sure what Canfield has back, but Range is down a little. I think they could get to 5-5 which would be a good season for the Cards. Only time will tell whether or not the new coach will make a difference to the future of CMHS.
Canfield had a lot of boys abandon ship so to speak, they could see the program was a sinking ship as long as the current coach remains. Most players of significance have left the program and gone elsewhere I am told.I think sophomore Camuso is under center for UHS. As for Mooney- should be an interesting season. Good chance the league folds before it starts. Mooney, st Joe’s, St. V’s and Benedictine already pulled outWill Irish fans grow weary travelling to Columbus once the Ohio Catholic League is in place? Is there any possibility of other Catholic highs joining this endeavor? It is interesting that Columbus DeSales was on Mooney's original slate for '25 but was dropped. Also Ursuline was set to have another go at VASJ but they are now replaced with Walsh Jesuit.
Because Mooney and VASJ pulled out of the league. That's why they got replaced on the respective schedules. Will Irish fans grow weary travelling to Columbus once the Ohio Catholic League is in place? Benedictine was never in.Good chance the league folds before it starts. Mooney, st Joe’s, St. V’s and Benedictine already pulled out
So let me get this straight. The new Catholic League doesn't begin until the '26 season. Because some schools opted out and decided it was not best for them, Ursuline broke contracted games in '25 out of spite??Because Mooney and VASJ pulled out of the league. The travel will be a bit of a pain but having the stability of a league will be worth it. Especially a league of this caliber.
I wouldn't call it spite. Id say it was more about picking up someone who is more worthy and will be a partner in the league. The Vikings are probably happy to get out of the game. What's the losing streak now? 5 games over 3 seasons? So let me get this straight. The new Catholic League doesn't begin until the '26 season.
