UPDATE - Ft. Recovery softball coaches held on murder charges

 
Damn...if they aren't sticking spirit sticks up where they shouldn't be...they are killing people. Sad. Sad. Sad.
 
This doesn't look good:

The Jay County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of Briar with help from Indiana State Police, Portland Police Department, Dunkirk Police Department and the prosecutor's office.

It is not clear how Briar died or the circumstances surrounding his death.

Jay County court documents show that Briar and Stephen were involved a civil case regarding child custody.

In November, an attorney filed a motion on Briar’s behalf to “establish paternity of child and to provide for custody, support, parenting time and name change,” according to Jay County court records.

(UPDATE @ 6:13 p.m.): Two Fort Recovery High School softball coaches are accused of conspiring to kill an Indiana man after he filed to have parenting time with a child he shared with one of the coaches, according to Jay County, Indiana, court records.

Sad that this had to be tied to Ft. Recovery. Ridiculous really. If these two would have had an ounce of smarts, they would have killed him in Mercer county. Good chance they would have been out of jail in a year or two.
 
Exwife shot him 8 times in the back as he cowered in a closet...she got off on self defense claim.

wasn't Esther Stephen MAC softball coach of the year, the woman who turned the Fort Recovery softball program around?

Yea..she also ran her own daycare and lived in Portland, IN. So..why wasn't that the lead of the story?
 
Check out the link about termination, Asst Coach was under contract and it was a paid position

To answer your question...the Ft. Recovery schools released a presser saying that the two had been arrested and were on administrative leave as Ft. Recovery softball coaches...no mention of the murder charges in the first release...the next morning it was released they had both been arrested on murder charges by the Jay Co Sheriff's Office. The story above says they are both from Portland, no other details on the two were released.
 
Because it's an ohia site is why Dave thinks it's a big deal.
Person involved is Jay County trash but that wouldn't Garner any clicks on here.
 
I didn't really know these people. Esther was in her 2nd year as softball coach. She was coach of the year last year and the team was much more successful than they had been lately. All of the baseball coaches have seen her in the Athletic Center because we can have baseball players working in one 1/2 while she has softball players in the other half. We had never seen her as much as raise her voice to another player. The girls seemed to love her. She had practice on Monday. JV baseball coach said she seemed totally normal....and the next day she confesses to murder.......

WOMEN!!!!!
