Great season for Mark Pope and the Wildcats. Hope to see them take it a step or 2 further next year. 3 transfer portal commits and 3 recruits already in the fold for next year combined with expected key returning players Oweh, Garrison, Perry, Candler and Noah make next year's team potentially more talented than this year.

Additions - Jaland Lowe (Pitt), Mouhamed Dioubate (Alabama), Kam Williams (Tulane), Jasper Johnson (#17), Malachi Moreno (#23) and Acaden Lewis (#25)

Departures - Lamont Bulter, Andrew Carr, Amari Williams, Koby Brea, Ansley Almonor, Kerr Kriisa, Jaxson Robinson.

It's a lot to lose, but UK is looking to add former 5 star and UK commit Jayden Quaintance. Wesley Yates, Jaron Pierre and Alvaro Forguerias are also potential gets for UK.

Should be a fun season next year.
 
 
Must have happened as I was typing but Quaintance has committed to Mark Pope and UK. This is a huge get for UK! Working his way back from an ACL tear but he should be good to go come October. An elite rim protector and likely top 10 pick in the 2026 draft. Fun fact, he was the youngest player in D1 basketball last year, yes even younger than Flagg.
 
I have been very happy with Pope's recruiting this off-season. We have added great length and athleticism across the board. Need to get another point guard since Acaden Lewis decommitted. I would like a tall(6'4" and up) PG in the portal to fill Lewis's spot. We are going to way better defending and rebounding with this team. Starting lineup could be Chandler, Oweh, Williams, Jelavic, Garrison and all can shoot/score. Scary
