Covid was just the straw that broke the camel's back and convenient excuse for the school. UConn football and school financials have been in serious trouble for a while now.

UConn football might have already played its last game.

Don't kid yourself into thinking a significant number of these schools cutting programs are not using Corona as an easy excuse.

This was an easy decision for U Conn. They seemed to be downgrading football regardless of Covid-19.

They are just the first, though. The remaining college football conferences...at all levels...will soon announce there will not be a Fall 2020 season. It’s inevitable.
