Or maybe Fauci hasn't been right very much. You like to point how in just about every post that Trump has failed and quit the chinese virus. Who has been advising him? Who was the medical expert? Maybe a new adviser will help, you want that right?
 
The evidence has bene in for quite a while,. Trump and his men have failed miserably at containing the virus. Putting a plan in sticking to it , showing strong leadership and some key initial mistakes were made some by this man who somehow is a trusted member of the administration . So many people have resigned , left and were fired that there was suddenly a dearth of competent people to fill the posts, so you have Jared and even Ivanka making key suggestions . Trump has not just *failed* to protect America from this virus. Trump has chosen not to let those who could protect America do so. He has blocked the implementation of an effective test and trace program, as has been successful in other countries. He has urged America to do things that prolong this epidemic and spread it to more people. I'll leave it to others to say whether this is out of ignorance and insanity or something more calculated and insidious. I really don't know. But its a clear fact that everything he has advocated and done has been on the side of making the public health situation worse rather than better, and the result is that we've had the worse per capital death rate of any major country and are the only country other than Brazil and maybe Mexico where the death rate is still roaring along at a high level. Watching a fire burn and occasionally fanning the flames does not constitute a failure to put it out.
 
It is as if he wants it to stick around . He will SOUND optimistic or engage in happy talk , but it's all bull chit . The only thing his disciples have is to also deny it's existence, blame others , say it's a hoax and that the figures are wrong . Blame states and Dems , rinse and repeat. A solid majority see things the way they actually are adn what our Government's role in it is and how bad we have been at containing this . So it's attack the science the numbers , Fauci , Mayors and Governors. Blame everything and anything other than their leader .

Kinda what Biden is hoping for. Otherwise, following the lead of Democrat governors and the legislation drafted by Democrat lawmakers, the effort will result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of senior citizens, a 10X increase in the budgeted deficit for 2020, the bankruptcy and permanent closure of hundreds of thousands of businesses - large and small, unemployment reaching 30-40%, and a disincentive to work that will stretch the problem for a couple of years.

If only they provided covid stats.

Spain, the UK, and Italy all have higher death rates per 1 million people. Brazil is very close to the US.

I am curious - what would have been an acceptable number of deaths due to the covid 19 in the US?
