Indeed. I’m confident that The Milwaukee County Election Board was held accountable for their ineptitude, and they’ve adopted procedures from all the other states/municipalities who pulled it off with minimal fuss.

Costs, time, distance, etc. there’s a plethora of reasons. If an ID is required to vote, make them free and as easy as possible to get.
