" Tourney time, anyone can lose to anyone! "

Top contender for DUMBEST quote in YAPPI history. HS soccer is one of the most PREDICTABLE tournaments of any Ohio sport, until round 3 or so. Until then, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
It's true. Anyone can lose to anyone. Well, almost anyone. There are plenty of programs that will be one and dones that would lose to JV teams. Once those are out of the way, you never know what can happen. Being from NW Ohio, I can think of two times, in football, where the better team and heavy favorite lost to a lower team. First was in 2013 when Deshone Kizer's Toledo Central Catholic team headed into the regional final undefeated after having crushed all competition all year. Yet they lost 42-41 to Clyde. And then last week, Toledo went into Bowling Green as a 24 point favorite and lost by 13. It can happen if a team goes in unfocused and overconfident. True, girls soccer is more predictable, but there will definitely be a few upsets in the playoffs.

This post did NOT age well........13 GAMES LAST NIGHT WERE WON 9-0 OR MORE. As stated before, SOCCER IS NOT FOOTBALL OR ANY OTHER SPORT. ITS LAME AND PREDICTABLE UNTIL ROUND 2 OR 3. FIRST ROUND IS PATHETIC, AND 'anyone CAN'T beat anyone." HORRIBLE POST

i said after the first couple of rounds, absolutely anyone can beat anyone. just look at the ncaa basketball tournament, 1s and 2s rarely lose in the first round, but later on they can and do lose to 4s, 6s, 8s, etc.. you sound like a teenage troll living in the basement. go finish your homework and get to bed early

Oak Harbor is a pretty good team. I wish them well. My alma mater is in that sectional. But the team my daughter plays on is not.

Im glad you cleared it up though. Only the number 1 seeds will advance. I dont think there should be playoffs at all.

Yes anyone can beat anyone. Soccer allows all teams in the playoffs. They should only have the top 8 or 12 or something from each region. It should be more like football. The result would be the same if the number 1 team in Region 7 (Toledo Central Catholic) played the lowest ranked team in the region (Toledo Waite). The score would be minimum 56-0, which is similar to an 8-0 score in soccer. The results would get much closer as the tournament went on and the competition got tougher. The same thing here. Just as all the number 1 seeds in football wont make it through, the same thing in soccer. Anyone can beat anyone. Yesterdays blowouts were a waste of time. Now that we are in the final 4 of each district, anyone can beat anyone.

But you already know this. You just cant resist trolling. With so few soccer posters, you would think good conversation would be encouraged. But instead, you rather troll.

Anyways, some good games coming up next week.

Clinton Massie 18
Dayton Stivers 0

What is wrong with these coaches?
I agree. Terrible. In my daughter's game, we were up 3-0 literally 2-3 minutes into the game. The starters were pulled and the team was told to have a certain number of passes before shooting or not to shoot at all. We have had a couple of games like this. The most we scored was 9. I heard the coach say his max he likes to go for is 7. Anything over 10 in soccer is bad sportsmanship.

I almost went to the Loveland Mason game but the weather kept me away, but I'd sit in the rain for a possible Beavercreek vs. LW game! Anderson and Seton should be a good game, Seton is having themselves a year to remember!

They are putting it together at the right time. 10 game winning streak in which they've scored 42 goals. I wouldn't want to play them!
