That is unbelievable....even excluding Troy Taylor & Ronnie Stokes who both contributed at OSU for multiple years back in early 80s...what a backcourt!Hard to imagine anyone bests Canton McKinley:
Gary Grant - Michigan All America Olympics; NBA
Nick Weatherspoon - Illinois All America; NBA
Phil Hubbard - Michigan All America; Olympics; NBA
Eric Snow - Michigan St.; NBA
Keith McLeod - Bowling Green; NBA
Off the bench:
Michael Hawkins - Xavier; NBA
Bryant Bowden - DePaul
Bill Robinson - Ohio St.
Raymar Morgan - Michigan St.
there are so many other really, really good players.
From 1973-2009 - 36 consecutive years - the Pups had at least one alum playing in the NBA. This is the greatest program in Ohio history.

Doesn't really stop there. As any of these old time schools, plenty others went on to impressive careers in college or various levels of pro-league. I think I got all the NBA ones though.
It's difficult to NOT look at the NBA success of players when selecting the all-high school team. And while I'm certainly no authority on Canton McKinley basketball, I can't imagine too many players having better high school careers than Troy Taylor and Ronnie Stokes.Troy Taylor has to be top five.. Even without him playing in the league

Lots of good players in the last 25 years, but hard to point out a top 5.
Amari Davis has to be on this list. He is the all-time leading scorer..Trotwood-Madison
Andre Huston
Chris Wright
Dazhontae Bennett
Kalan Smith
Torrey Patton
Remember that he wrote that list three years ago when Davis was still the second best player on his team to Torrey Patton.Amari Davis has to be on this list. He is the all-time leading scorer..
Carl Edward's
Vinson Smith
Vincent Ward
Scott Beylue
Myles Beylue
Barry Martin
Juan Norvell
Blanton Twins
John Lumpkin
Carl Blanton Jr.
Jonathan Washington
Lots of great players out of that program. Your five is good but Davis has to be in there.
Troy Taylor has to be top five.. Even without him playing in the league
Spartan 87,Lima Senior:
Greg Simpson
Xavier Simpson
Andre Horton
Andre Reed
Travis Walton
These were just the guys I saw from the 80's until now. But there are so many more that could be on this list. Where is Johnstown Benny when I need him?
It's your list but no Jeff Graham?Kettering Alter:
Jim Paxson, Jr.
John Paxson
Andy Meyer
Keith Waleskowski
Adam Waleskowski/Marc Molinsky/Jack Zimmerman
I'm thinking Dayton Jefferson could put together a solid D3/D4 team. I'm not familiar enough with them to suggest a top 5, but they've had some very good talent.
Start with Adreian Payne (Michigan State/NBA)...
More from Trotwood-Madison:
1969 Mike Williams/Kentucky Wesleyan/ABA
1974 Norvain Morgan/Bowling Green
1976 Wendell "Wings" Allen/Portland State
1983 Dwight Sistrunk/Iowa (football)
2009 Aaron Robinson/Findlay
1997 John Lumpkin/Ohio State
2013 Jamar Hammonds
1977 Reggie Talley/Colorado State
Gotta get Amari Davis on the list for sure.
I think the people posting accidentally left Amari out. I know Trotwood has a long history of great players, but Amari needs to be listed in their top 5 for sure. Thanks for the heads up on the 8th grader.. is he a younger brother to the great player they had this year?Amari may be No. 1 on the list now:
school's all-time leading scorer
only 2.000+ scorer
school's only Ohio POY
Lead school to 1st state champioship!
There's an 8th grader on the horizon who will play varsity from day 1 named Delamar Blanton stay tuned! Barring injury he'll be an all-time great!

See my post #58. D4fan already caught this omission. My list was from the top of my head. I knew I forgot some good players and Graham should be on my list. It's your list but no Jeff Graham?

SCC couldn't beat that. If any small schools,
I would put them up against the 1970-2000s St. Henry D3-D4 teams. One of the most impressive teams I saw in the early 1990s in any division when they won back to back state championships in 1990 and 1991 while also football champs in 1990. Here's the list from this time period and feel free to add if I missed somebody:
Jim Lachey (OSU OT/OG and played for Washington Redskins)
Bobby Hoying (OSU QB and played for the Philadelphia Eagles)
Scott Brunswick (Toledo WR and played briefly for the Dallas Cowboys)
Jeff Hartings (Center for Penn State and long time Pittsburgh Steelers player)
Kevin Niekamp (OSU TE)
Todd Boeckman (OSU QB)
Kurt Huelsman (Center for Dayton basketball)
Ryan Mikesell (Dayton basketball)
Impressive for a town of just around 2500 people and play in the mighty MAC.
