That is unbelievable....even excluding Troy Taylor & Ronnie Stokes who both contributed at OSU for multiple years back in early 80s...what a backcourt!

It's difficult to NOT look at the NBA success of players when selecting the all-high school team. And while I'm certainly no authority on Canton McKinley basketball, I can't imagine too many players having better high school careers than Troy Taylor and Ronnie Stokes.

Gotta add Shelby Linville UK, Vince Edwards Purdue, and Jimmy Ratliff OSU. At one time Jerry Lucas was the only player to win a high school state championship, college national championship, Olympic Gold medal and an NBA championship. There are several since they started using NBA players in the Olympics, but for many years he was the only one.

Amari Davis has to be on this list. He is the all-time leading scorer..

I agree completely with the 5 players you have listed. We are both very close in the time frame of the 80's until
present day. I moved to Lima from central Ohio in late 1978 and started following the Lima Sr. beginning with the 78/79 team. I
am only considering players that I actually saw play in person, even the Spartans had many great players prior to 1978, I only
compiled a list from 1978 to the present the same as you.
I will go with your first 5 list as my first team also.

No Jamie Skelton Sr.? 71' he was the all-time leading scorer during his career at TWood. Carl Edwards 98' had a 15 year career overseas. If you.re going that deep.

I think the people posting accidentally left Amari out. I know Trotwood has a long history of great players, but Amari needs to be listed in their top 5 for sure. Thanks for the heads up on the 8th grader.. is he a younger brother to the great player they had this year?
He's another Blanton from the Blanton family going all the way back to 90's and yes he's the cousin of the Blanton brothers that are there now and brother of the Raglin kid that's currently on the team now as well.

No offense but there's really no comparison. All those players Jefferson were in great at BASKETBALL in high school they specialized in BASKETBALL and with the exception of two people, played college BASKETBALL! And I forgot to add Terrell Mabry to the bench another first team All-state player.
Jefferson would destroy them, You have to remember at the time when we these guys were in school they had one of the tougher schedules in Ohio. They were an INDEPENDENT except 84'-86' played everyone in at the time, a tough DPS league twice, played Alter and CJ most years, played Trotwood every year(they're on the same road) and was top 10 in Ohio every year mostly top 5! So they were basically D3/4 in classification only.

I mean there is a comparison. Hoying, Huelsman, Mikesell, Brunswick, and Boeckman were all basketball All-Ohio players. Heck, Hoying still has the most dunks in a season record with over 50. I think it would be a great game.
