Chandler is a big time signing for the UFC, he has some big wins and some tough losses against a long list of experienced and talented fighters. His style will give Gaethje some problems as Justin mostly looks to throw despite being a good wrestler himself. He doesn't have much for Khabib as they are too similar but Khabib does it better.

As far as Saturday night, this really is a great free card. Proven top 5 guys in the main event. If Colby wins I think he gets a shot at Usman-Burns winner, Woodley probably has to win one more to get a rematch. Cowboy is always a must see because you never know which Cowboy is gonna show up. I've enjoyed him since his WEC wars and actually hope he hangs it up soon. A lot of hype building around Chimaev who will face an experienced vet but should continue to roll. Walker-Spann are two of the biggest LHW's and a good striker-grappler matchup. Mackenzie Dern should get the sub on Markos but Randa is tough and has some big wins in her career. On the undercard, Jordan Espinosa is from Findlay and looking to string together a couple wins in the UFC.

My fight picks...

Covington - W (8-5)
Chimaev - W (7-5)
Spann - L (6-5)
Dern - W (6-4)
Holland - W (5-4)
Espinosa - L (4-4)
Bektic - L (4-3)
Silva - W (4-2)
Clark - W (3-2)
Laramie - L (2-2)
Newson - L (2-1)
Ewell - W (2-0)
Nam - W (1-0)

1. The main event is one of those where I hope both guys kill each other because I can't stand either one. Seriously considered abstaining from picking anyone in that fight.

2. Only underdog I picked is Spann. He's 4-0 in the UFC. Walker is unpredictable and could KO him though.

Ortega-Zombie is intriguing, both guys are title contenders but Ortega being off for so long and KZ only having a few fights in the last few years has put them both out of sight out of mind. Both guys can finish the fight on the feet or on the ground so I hope we see a good mix of standing and groundwork. KZ is a crafty veteran but that has been Ortega's specialty over the years. Not gonna lie, I don't know a whole lot about the rest of the main card fighters, Chook-Andrade should be great with a former champ vs a title challenger. You can't blink anytime Almeida is fighting and I always like to see the new crop of Heavyweights

My fight picks....

Zombie - L (5-6)
Chookagian - L (5-5)
Crute - W (5-4)
Silva - L (4-4)
Almeida - L (4-3)
Gamrot - L (4-2)
Robertson - W (4-1)
Park - W (3-1)
Mullarkey - L (2-1)
Grishim - W (2-0)
Nurmagomedov - W (1-0)

Only going with 2 underdogs this time around with Chookagian and Silva. Fairly confident KZ tears Ortega to pieces on the feet and he's a decent enough grappler to keep the fight standing.

Well that card was a disaster for me. Ortega's striking looked miles better than when Holloway outclassed him. The time off was good for him.

Anderson Silva has not quite gone the route of Jay Penn...but he is getting there. I hope that he shuts it down soon! Always a decent amount of hype around Uriah but never consistent against upper level competition.

Pretty sure this is the last fight for Silva. At least it's the final one on his UFC contract and he has said he wished to finish out his contract before retirement.

Good.
What are the chances he gets bored in a year or two and ends up fighting Chael or Fedor in Bellator?

My fight picks...

Hall - W (8-3)
Mitchell - W (7-3)
Holland - W (6-3)
Greene - L (5-3)
Green - L (5-2)
Hernandez - W (5-1)
Yanez - W (4-1)
Strickland - W (3-1)
Williams - L (2-1)
Jacoby - W (2-0)
Johns - W (1-0)

My two underdog picks are Greene and Williams. Though there is a few difficult fights to call. I'm not confident in a lot of them.

I like the comparison, but agree that Silva is not quite there. Anderson is 2-7 (let's call the Diaz fight a win since he won that night) in his last nine fights while Penn is 1-9-1 in his last 11 (lost seven in a row).
