I don’t like the projections the all use (I think it started when Madonna did it). It makes it look cheap. I would much rather have stage sets and movable sets than that. That’s partially why I thought Shakira’s worked better than Jlo’s
 
I make it a point not to watch the halftime show, its over thought, over hyped. Watch MTV/ Dancing with the Stars and you'll get the same thing. Wonder if they take a break on those programs and play football??
Anyway, I think the networks and the NFL need to step back and really understand their audience. The super bowl is a family event, believe it or not, or at least until halftime. The program, or what I heard of it did not appear to be family friendly. And no, people are not obligated to watch it, but I just think the NFL and networks had a chance to tone it down a bit. Now the folks that are there, you can't stop what they do. But the networks CAN and should watch what they air. You don't have to have close ups of crotch shots, girls on poles, etc. And this isn't about "strong" females. It's just networks selling sex as usual. I'm not surprised, just again disappointed.

And just so everyone knows, I'm really ok with just they typical 10 minute back to the studio analysis, no need for any more than that, IMO.
 
I think they should stick with some kind of extravagant halftime show, keeps the non-football fans watching. Maybe if Bernie and the Socialists get elected we should be like North Korea and do some sort of propaganda show>

I thought the music was good, the dancing was good, both women were great performers and are great examples of empowered, very successful, strong women. But my goodness, please put on some clothes. The Super Bowl is a family event, and therefore the networks should air family-friendly content. I shouldn't have to worry about an 8-year old watching the Super Bowl halftime show seeing women wearing less clothes than the actual woman who tried to flash everyone during the first quarter.

We all got a big laugh, though, at the three 5-year olds at our party who were completely glued to the TV even with their mother yelling at them to get their attention so they could leave!

It was OK.

I could get better soft core video action all over the web, and it all seemed uninspired, trite, and an odd combination of extravagant and pedestrian at the same time. So much flesh-toned spandex ensconced the rapid-fire crotch shots that they were rendered meh.
 
I’d rather listen to the performers sing 3-4 songs to completion than see them try to squeeze as much as possible into 15 minutes
 
They could have just given Shakira the whole halftime and had her do her hits. They’re better than JLo’s

Shakira must be dating some lab assistant at a stem cell research facility ...… she looks the same as she did 10 years ago!

I think my 8-year-old nephew became a man last night during halftime. :D
 
Shakira at 43 and JLo at 50+ both look amazing and both are in tremendous cardio-vascular shape to do all the moves they do. I enjoyed it, and we have to keep in mind the halftime show is for the non-hardcore NFL fans that watch. It won;t be going away any time soon, even if a bunch of old prudes complain about it. You know who you are.
 
In related Super Bowl pop culture news... Did anyone see Andy Reid just after the final whistle being interviewed? The star of the moment was his wife, you could literally see the tuck lines on her face from all the facial work she has done through the years>
