Congratulations to Centerville on the schools first basketball state championship! I went to school in Centerville in the mid-1960s, a long time ago. Wow, this feels great and I'm so proud of the coaches and players. A great big thank you from all of we ELKS faithful who came before you in years past.

43 - 42 D -1 final? 3 point line and scoring is going into the toilet. Is the talent that bad in Ohio that it is so hard to get the scores at least in the 50's. This is sad IMO.

This is pretty normal. Four years ago Jackson beat Moeller 39-38 in a D1 final that had a ton of D1 players and a current NBA player. Whenever the talent is fairly comparable between teams this deep in the tournament it tends to be extremely physical and defensive-oriented with scoring at a premium.

One final thought...Kudos to Westerville Central. From the highlights videos I've seen, you guys were better than advertised. Very good basketball team and very deserving of a state finalist.
