All the second-team guys for the National Division that I didn't label were seniors (I think)

Labas is committed to Iowa to go play QB, so he's no longer playing basketball

Ganley, Abuhamdeh, and Callaghan will compete for the title of the best player in the league this year. I believe Tepus is the top returning player from the second team.

Stow returns almost everything. NoRo loses a lot but has arguably the best player in the league. Brecksville and Twinsburg are always up there. Wadsworth was young last year and should be improved. Hudson is likely to take a step back from where they were in the last few years. Nordonia is a question mark for me. Falls returns almost everyone, but they have a big gap to close.

Should we break this thread up into an American thread and a National thread? In the past, the SL had a good following on here. Since the merger, not so much. Is it better for one thread to cover the entire league or split it up into divisions?

No fans at Tallmadge home sporting events until December 16th. Games still go on and will be streamed on YouTube.

Tallmadge preview:

New-look Tallmadge boys basketball hopes to move up in American Conference

Like many of us, Bill Johnson doesn’t know what the winter sports season will look like,

The third-year Tallmadge boys basketball coach does know that his program will take a day-by-day approach and he plans to use a bevy of athletes.

Tallmadge will miss a deep five-member graduating class from a unit that was 8-15.

However, the cupboard isn’t bare as there are some pieces and parts back for the Blue Devils.

Returning Letter Winners:
Ethan Taylor (Senior)
Nick Lambacher (Senior)
Kyle Ries (Junior)
Ty Hurst (Sophomore)

Top Newcomers:
Collin Dixon (Sophomore)
Aaron Gergely (Junior)
Mason Dexter (Junior)
Caden Zajac (Senior)
Will Hudak (Senior)

Others who could see action:
Caiden McCollough (Sophomore)
Niko Roldan (Junior)
Carson Cowley (Junior)

Head Coach:
Bill Johnson

Coaches:
Jon Karnuth (varsity assistant)
Scott Campbell (junior varsity)
Mike Srodawa (freshman)
Collin Epstein (basketball operations)

Not saying they'll win the league but look for Falls to be vastly improved. If they stay healthy they should be competitive with everyone they play and should be around the .500 mark. They don't have a ton of depth and lack a post presence but will run basically 5 guards. After the 6th man the talent drops off. If they stay healthy and out of foul trouble they'll be tough.

Kyler Tepus will be one of the top scorers in the league. Trinnie Henderson will be one of the top PG's and swing man Brennen Guerin will provide some scoring and ball handling depth.

Which teams are shutdown right now?

I see that these teams haven't played anyone:

American:
Tallmadge/Aurora

National:
Cuyahoga Falls/Twinsburg/Brecskville

Anyone else shutdown now?

What is the process for league makeup games? Just try to fit them in or will they make schools cancel other games to get all the league games in?

Basketball is finally back. Triple header in Tallmadge tonight against Highland:
Freshmen: Highland 54, Tallmadge 42

Cuyahoga Falls hosting Hoban in a triple-header:
Freshmen: Hoban 69, Cuyahoga Falls 21
