DV the only division with all #1 regional seeds. DI Springfield could have been that #1 had it not be for a slip up in week 6, which they got pay back in week 12

Press release from the OHSAA:

OHSAA Releases Football State Semifinal Pairings
Regional champions are one step away from playing for a state championship

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio High School Athletic Association released the football state semifinal playoff pairings and sites Sunday afternoon. Division I, II, III and V will play on Friday, while Division IV, VI and VII will play on Saturday. All games kick off at 7 p.m.

The geography of the regional champions is the primary factor in determining how the state semifinalists are paired. A team’s won-lost record, regional seed and state rank do not factor into the pairings.

Neutral sites receive a rental fee payment from the OHSAA and sites keep revenue from concessions, parking and program sales. Rarely can an available site be found exactly halfway between the two schools.

Tickets for all state semifinal games go on sale Monday afternoon and must be purchased in advance at www.ohsaa.org/tickets.

One game is being played at an athletic complex. Some of the games are being played in a stadium. Some of the games are being played on a field.

And three of the games are being played on a field AND in a stadium. What makes those games so special that they get both?

I think every team in the playoffs should be allowed to play on a field AND in a stadium.

It looks like Steubenville and Fort Frye have the furthest to travel. I am shocked OHSAA is putting a game IN Columbus on the same day as Michigan and Ohio St. Yes I know that game is at noon and the high school game at 7 but that just seems very odd to me. A suburb of Columbus probably would have worked better.

By the final AP poll it's:
1 St Edward (Lakewood) (9-1) (224) [18] Vs 7 Gahanna Lincoln (Gahanna) (9-1) (80)
2 Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati) (9-1) (207) [3] Vs 4 Springfield (Springfield) (8-1) (141) [1]

No, they are chartering a bus. They will need all the energy they have for the Tigers.
FYI, Hoban has contracted with a charter bus service for a few years now to handle all of its transportation needs. A few other private schools have also contracted to the same service which is based in Alliance.

What if both teams were coming out of their region? How does OSHAA determine who to put on top of the bracket for the semi - finals.
that would be predetermined when semis are announced. Having been in 13 of these, we have been both home and visitor, and when we went back to back years, all appearances were they alternate how they are setup so southern regions one year, northern the next
The way it's listed in first post matches the arrangement of the brackets by the OHSAA, so the top line in each division is the home team through the finals.
