St. John’s College H.S, DC. (3-1) at Massillon Washington (6-0)

This game has kind of flown under the radar, but if folks think this is another Elkhart, they're mistaken.

I had this game marked on the schedule from the moment this game was announced. Don't get me wrong beating Valdosta was huge but I feel like if we can beat St John's this would really put Massillon on the map on a national scale. If I had to compare them to any team in the state I would probably compare them to maybe Hoban and if I had to compare them to any other out of state opponent that we have played in the last few years I would more than likely compare them to East St Louis just with more disciplined then the flyers was. I did however watch that first game against American Heritage from Florida in my honest opinion it was kind of a weird game because I felt like St John's was in it but they made too many costly mistakes and American Heritage is American Heritage a top team in the country for a reason year and year out. But it's kind of hard to gauge because the other opponent that they played I don't know how good they were/are I do know that team from Cali team was pretty good I think there were ranked in the top 25 in the beginning of the season but that went away quickly but I really feel like we will definitely be in this game and it's going to be a tough defensive game because they do got guys all over the field to be able to match us skill for skill. With that being said I will take my Tigers 31-20 with Massillon running away late in the ball game. I feel like our advantage is going to be in the trenches.

St. John’s College is one of the premier educational/athletic programs in the DC area, vying every year with the likes of Dematha, OLGC, and Gonzaga in the highly competitive Washington Catholic Conference (think GCL). Not sure how good they are this year, but they will have D1 talent and size. They regularly play against premier out-of-state programs. Kudos to Massillon for scheduling this game.

Fitch and McKinley are underdogs by a similar line, while Harding is 38 pts.

Extremly weird game, American H Had ALOT go thier way and it got ugly quick.

Really hope Massillon is able to beat a team that got blown out by Floridas 4th best team.
What are you talking about? American H only loss is to the number 3 team in the country- who happens to ALSO be in south Florida along with central miami and st Thomas.

Still the 4th best team in Florida.......you want some national respect brought back to this state? Then Massillon better win this game decisively.
I don’t think you know enough about AH or St. John’s to dictate what is deemed a “respectable win” if we beat St John it would be by far the best out of state win by ANY team in Ohio. No matter if it’s by 1 point or 30.

I’m surprised, some of these posters really don’t know how evaluate high school athletic/football talent. I can excuse the ones that their high schools play in a less than average league, but this St. John’s team plays in one of the best leagues in the DC/Maryland area. St. John’s is rated 31st in the country in the most recent poll.

That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Trolling is not your strongest asset I see. Ohio has two teams in the top 25 this games means absolutely nothing IMO and what's even funnier is you place an auto pressure on Massillon to beat this team but yet Saint Ignatius got blew out by Pittsburgh team that got drummed by Ed's last year so I'm a tab bit confused on how this is a must win game for Ohio ?

If people think this team isn’t good then you clearly don’t know football. They aren’t ranked that high in the country for no reason. They have some really good players. I always expect to win but I’m not by any means thinking blowout. I think we’re really damn good but this should be a really good game
