St. Edward Football 2025

No need but this is a very cool way for you to remind us that Ed’s has 6 state titles, congrats and I hope you win another one in 2025. That said Mentor is a great example of an offense having multiple WRs that produce along with a productive RB. Why is that triggering to you and the other Ed’s guy? It’s a literal and statistical fact.
It’s not triggering . It just shows that having a great offense means absolutely nothing. They have one absolutely nothing besides some conference titles, that’s literal and fact.

Yes it is but also irrelevant re: the context of what we were discussing. But thank you for your input. The point is very simple, high school teams have successfully utilized two productive WRs and a productive RB. Some even win state titles.

I don't have the stats from the last game against Liberty, but heading into that game the Eagle offense had rushing totals of 2,095 yards and receiving totals of 2,476. Individually:

Hackleman (not playing since 3rd quarter of Hoban game) - 51 catches for 857 yards and 10 TD
Saffold - 48 catches for 684 yards and 5 TD
White (injured in week 3) - 261 yards and 3 TD
Eaton - 608 yards and 9 TD
Buchanan - 488 yards 2 TD

I'd say your top two receivers going for over 1,500 yards and running back by committee going for over 1,300 was productive.

Agreed. It wasn’t me that gave reasons for one of Ed’s WR potentially transferring. Side note, none of the kids you mentioned are seniors correct? That’s a lot of talent returning.

Saw that come up on my twitter feed as well. Interestingly enough, he's tagged both Ginn Academy and St. Edward football to his posts. I guess we'll see where he shows up in the summer after auditioning with Ginn Elite this offseason. :ROFLMAO:
If I were him it would be Glenville, lol. But two great FCS offers (starting next year the Ivy League can participate in the FCS playoffs). He’s passed the audition in my opinion, great hands, routes, speed, and he really attacks the ball.

I love the Hoban game being week 10. It feels like a rivalry game. Home games at B-W and Lakewood again this season?

Big time schedule. Not much travelling which is nice. Great to see Wayne on the schedule, sad to see Elder go. Will need to do a deeper dive on the MD and NJ teams.

Can we please beat Massillon this year.

I see 8-2 , 9-1ish offensive should be better with white and solid a group of wrs. Dline needs to play substantially better this next year , we had trouble setting the edge all year.

7 Ohio teams. A bit unusual compared to the past 10 years....

Omar will be very happy to no longer see St. Edward on the schedule. When K. Mason transferred to Glenville and then came back to St. Eds, he just about lost it. Same with the Logan Thomas transfer. I'll have to check in from time to time on the Elder thread to see how he is doing 🤔

Almost my fav poster besides Ohio river boy who talked mad smack for yrs to go 0-3 vs us then never say anything after the losses.

At a quick glance the MD and NJ teams appear solid but certainly not juggernauts. Delbarton went 7-3 last year, only "bad" loss to a real juggernaut, Bergen Catholic, 42-13. https://www.maxpreps.com/nj/morristown/delbarton-green-wave/football/schedule/

Bishop McNamara went 4-5 against a brutal schedule (1 win was a forfeit). Lost their last 4, including a close one (18-16) to a team we're familiar with, Good Counsel. McNamara's last 4 games were a brutal stretch. https://www.maxpreps.com/md/forestville/bishop-mcnamara-mustangs/football/schedule/

Obviously hard to judge how teams will be in 2025 versus how 2024 ended up, but it seems like both teams are pretty solid and will obviously show up and play a tough schedule like we will. Glad both of these games are at home. I think the Delbarton game will be their first game of the year while we will have the nice added benefit of already playing one prior.

Glad there's 10 games, all against solid competition. Team will be well tuned by the time the playoffs roll around.

Both Delbarton and Bishop McNamara compete is the best private school leagues in their respective states. They are not the cream of the crop from those leagues, such as BC, DBP, DeMatha, OLGC, etc., but should present enough of a challenge while also providing a good opportunity to come away with a win for an Eagle team that will be breaking in a number of new faces. I'm probably most excited about the addition of Wayne, renewing the 3-year championship war from the 2010's that provided some epic games. The Warriors have been young, but talented the past few seasons and may be ready to break out this year.

Glad Pick North didn’t back out, I heard there was some speculation they might. Wayne has a very talent WR (#1 in the C/O 2027), not sure how much they bring back as they were a decent squad last year.

Eight home games! Is this Steubenville or something?
Definitely works out well this year. Travelled to Pick North and Moeller last year, so those games are back home for 2025. The you have Glenville which always travels for their non-league schedule, ditto Football North. And finally the OOS opponents which we always seem to be able to get one-year home deals with. I assume we will be heading down to Dayton next year to play Wayne with them coming here in 2025.

Broden Moore picked up his first offer from Sacramento state! So if my count is correct
That’s 3 defensive backs, all with D-1 offers
And 3 offensive players with D-1 offers.
I expect at least 2 more players one on each side of the ball to get offers as well before the season. 8 total. But after the season at least 2 more of the team will get them. So at least 10 D-1 kids on the years team! Book it! Too bad Joey Saffold left that would have made 11 starters on this years team with D-1 offers.
