ST. PARIS — The Graham High School wrestling team put on a show in its season opener, dropping just one match in a 64-3 victory over Huntington, W. Va. on Saturday.

Ryan Taylor (112), Nate Henkle (125), Isaac Jordan (160) and Darin Bovey (HVY) all had pins for the Falcons.

The team’s lone loss came at 103 pounds where Chase Crabtree fell to two-time West Virginia state champion Justin Riggs by a 3-2 decision.

Rusty Maness (130), Nick Brascetta (140), Bo Jordan (145) and Matt Stephens (152) all won by technical fall.

The Falcons will compete at the Walsh Jesuit Ironman tournament next weekend.

• Northeastern’s Marcus Reeder registered two pins at 140 pounds including a pin against West Liberty-Salem’s Britt Wooten, a state qualifier last season, as the Jets went 2-0 at their home tri-meet.

Levi Cauley had two pins at 160 and 171 as Northeastern (2-0) defeated Lima Catholic Central 42-21 and shut out the Tigers for the first time in school history 64-0.

• Shawnee senior Nathan Silvus was the champion in the 215 pound weight division at the Olentangy Invitational. Silvus notched his 100th career victory with the win in the finals.
