Looks like this league is about to change for the umpteenth time since 2005.

Lakewood leaving after this season.
Charter members Westlake and North Olmsted leaving after 2020-21 season.

Two wretched football programs, and one (North) that has managed to stay somewhat competitive On the gridiron, but is awful in virtually every other sport.

Going to join forces with Rocky River, Bay, and Fairview (three more original SWC schools), along with the Parma schools, Holy Name and EC.

Seeing how Amherst replaced Medina in 1987, this will leave Avon Lake and Olmsted Falls as the only two charter SWC schools, and a seven-team league.

Rumors running rampant about potential schools to join what would now be a seven school league. Could be one addition or three, and names most mentioned are Elyria, Brunswick, Medina, and Strongsville.
 
 
Looks like next year, Lakewood is out, 9-team league
2021-22, North Olmsted and Westlake bail, Elyria joins, and it will go as an eight-team league
 
so there's also GLC changes then too? Buckeye and Lakewood?

As Westlake, Lakewood, and North Olmsted leave -- the SWC is a majority Lorain County league (Midview, North Ridgeville, Avon, Amherst, and Avon Lake; just Olmsted Falls and Berea-Midpark are Cuyahoga County schools)

Sounds like Elyria is on board now so that strengthens the Lorain County presence.
 
I haven't heard anything about Westlake and North Olmsted. Was there an article or tweet I missed somewhere?
 
Only one change over a four-decade period and now in the last fifteen years we've seen numerous adjustments. Must have to do with enrollment sizes.
