The best small forward of his generation. I heard this story about how he got the name "Elgin". Supposedly his father looked at his watch to see what time his son was born and saw that he was wearing an Elgin watch. Hence the name. The joke that went around was that the great Laker forward was lucky his father wasn't wearing a Bulova watch.
