Moeller's opponents during the regular season are a combined 75-36. LW opponents on the other hand were 49-63. I don't know what to make of this other than Moeller's schedule was markedly more difficult and they seemed to have faced a variety of offensive and defensive game planners. I doubt they will see anything they have not seen before. Based on the performance of their O line and stout running game, they should be able to wear down the LW defense. They will undoubtedly test the West secondary to keep them from stacking the box. Moeller's defense will be the best that LW has seen all year and they will have to prove that they can run and pass efficiently. Pressure by the Moeller front seven will be key in keeping the West QB from getting too comfortable. Moeller's stand out defensive secondary will be on the lookout for errant pass attempts as the result of defensive pressure. Once again, if Moeller brings their A game-they win. Anything less-they may not. GBM
1. Okay well Elders Regular Season opponents had a combined record of 80-34, so can we please not do this schedule stuff. That’s all a lot of Elder posters talked about all week long.
2. If west shuts down Marshall, they probably lose simple. Your pass game is all set up out of the fear of a Marshall run. You’re not gonna sit back and continuously throw for good yards on this West Secondary. Elder just tried to smash the football on West and look what happened. Though it seems Moeller likes the stretch which makes sense as that allows Marshall to make a move but this West D line is quick, they can move laterally as well as they play power straight up.
3. West comfortably beats up the #11 and #5 teams in D1 Ohio (last polls of the season) in the playoffs and still we are going to act like this isn’t a team Moeller should be worried about?
