PTC County Looks to expand

any chance lake center gets football?

Gville
Mogadore
Southeast
Rootstown
Valley Christian
Crestwood

St Thomas needs a dance partner coming into the league or lake center just steps up?

they would have to break the bond at the hip to CVCA

LOL

however Manchester would be a good school to have, would the travel work out - thinking Manchester to Valley Christian

Never say never, but you might have a better chance of getting Windham to come back to the PTC than you have of getting Lake Center to add football.

What about finding another large school for the Metro and moving Field to the County?

that may be the move!

St Thomas neighbor Louisville is without a league

isn't the metro D3 for the most part

Leetonia going to Northeastern Athletic Conference, Newton Falls got turned down. Newton Falls is looking.

Leetonia to the NAC is a bit of a hike.

There's a lot of instability among these neighboring small school leagues:
PTC County (need more teams for football)
MVAC (yes, they have 8 teams, but Sebring's football program is on life support)
EOAC (down to 6 teams with Toronto already announced to be leaving and Leetonia reportedly leaving)

Perhaps a few rounds of musical chairs are needed to solidify each of these leagues.

Do not forget that Grand Valley is leaving for CVC this year they need another football team in the Northeastern Athletic

Grand Valley - leaving
Windham
Chalker
Conneaut - in PA conference
Ledgemont - consolidated
Newbury - possible consolidation
Mathews
Pymatuning Valley

Leetonia will have to drive north alot but the league probably looking at them

so Leetonia, Windham, Chalker, Mathews, PV.......now they have more teams than this for other sports - I was just listing football schools - one more makes 6 and takes care of back half of the season, wasn't Fairport Harbor and Ashtabula St Johns and St Paul associated with these schools?

If Newton Falls wants to join the NAC they should join the PTC if they got turned down like someone said. If the PTC doesn't expand I expect Rootstown and Valley Christan to join the MVAC. Garfield and Crestwood to join the CVC. Southeast will go back to the big school and I have no clue what the Cats will do. PTC county better be careful because it's one school away from leaving to being left in the dust.

I’ll be pretty surprised if Sebring has a team in 2019, their coach resigned and said at times they had only 10 players available during the season. I haven’t seen anything of them hiring a new one. It’ll be interesting what the MVAC does at that point, whether they exile them or keep them on (and possibly add an extra school).

1st Waterloo is crazy for staying in the MVAC. Travel is unreal. PTC needs to woo back Waterloo, Windham. Boot Valley and LCC. Valley too far, LCC will never get football. Or approach McDonald, Newton Falls and Berlin Western Reserve. Be proactive...

If they were “serious” about expanding and not just looking for someone team to beat up on then they would invite Brookfield, champion, LaBrae and newton falls...all competitive teams in multiple sports, around the same size and within a reasonable driving distance...some of those teams fit better than the ones they currently have!

Agree, McDonald would be good right off the 76,80 freeway.

How about a straight-up trade with the MVAC: give them Valley and get Waterloo back in exchange? I'm sure the MVAC is ultimately where Valley would like to end up.

Good trade. Waterloo was never successful in football, was competitive in most other sports. Their travel costs must be out of sight especially for a district that can't pass school levies! A short trip to Rootstown, Southeast and Mogadore sure would save over trips to Leetonia, Springfield, Lowellville and others
..

Could try to get Kent back, but that ship certainly has sailed. They are more appropriate for the PTC than the Suburban. Lake could be a nice add too and they could use out of the Fed, but they're not coming to the PTC.

There is zero chance that Lake would leave the Federal for the PTC, it would be a huge financial loss, and they really don't have any traditional rivals in the PTC.

PTC will not take them back, their AD pushed them to leave, they can not compete in the money sports that pay for other sports.

Waterloo back makes logical sense in every way. However, with the hatred their board and the committee's showed in their community town hall toward Mogadore specifically, they may have their heels dug in where they are and not willing to move.

Their board/search committee town hall from a few years ago when they were explaining to the community why they were leaving the PTC was rather telling what their AD and Board thought about the PTC and Mogadore specifically.

I think they would have to have all new Board/AD before they would be willing to come back.

Wasn't St. Thomas rejected when the league first formed and then again when East Canton left for the IVC? What would change the analysis this time?

Increased desperation on the part of the PTC and the fact that St. Thomas' enrollment ain't what it used to be?

If they applied and are rejected this time, then the writing is definitely on the wall.
