PTC County future

Is there any info on the future of the remaining PTC County schools? We know Crestwood is gone after this year. Hearing Youngstown Christian is going their own way and a few other county schools may be joining another league. Not sure if any of this is true. Does anyone know?

Pretty close to accurate. Mantua Crestwood gone, Valley Christian was accepted to a new league ( not sure of name). Garrettsville Garfield, Mogadore, Rootstown and Ravenna Southeast are going to Mahoning Valley Athletic League. Hartville Lake Center is on their own( they never had football as they promised when admitted to PTC ). Not sure when vote takes places but next year will be a year of transition for sure. Possibly the 4 remaining football schools may have to play a 3 game league schedule for next year. That would mean finding 7 non league games!!

Football wise VC is still playing a County schedule next year.

The league Valley Christian is going to is the EOAC (EASTERN OHIO ATHLETIC CONFERENCE) They are trying to play the EOAC football in 2020.
Itll be interesting about the MVAC and the remaining PTC teams, since the AAC blue is going there. That's a total of 19 teams. They can try and split it up, but you know there's always problems. Either geographically, competition or something else

Here is my idea for this. I think this day in age you set up the divisions geographically to control the costs and improve attendance and potential money making capabilities for each of the schools.

You would have three divisions. Two divisions with 6 teams and one with 7 teams. For example one of the divisions would be Mogadore, Garfield, Southeast, Rootstown, Newton Falls, and Waterloo (ironically). Each team would play 3 non-conference games (could play teams from another division if desired) and 2 cross-over games, before divisional play begins. For competive balance the previous years champions from each division would play each other in the cross-over matchups. 2nd place teams would play each other, 3rd place teams would play each other etc etc. that way the stronger programs could beef up their schedule and the weaker teams from the year before would have winnable games early in the year. There would have to be some tweaks because of the 7 team division, but I think this format in general would be interesting. What do you guys think?
