#PACtion™ 2025

Meat Loaf is very popular in Rittman.

Looking back on it all I remember my ex-wife telling me that when she was in school she went to some "women can be leaders, too!" luncheon for moms & daughters in Columbus.

Guest speaker was Marge Schott. Ex-wife was all proud of meeting Marge. And the dog Schottsie was there, I'm sure making bigger pyramids than the ancient Egyptians.

Looking back on it all it all makes sense.

Now she's an ex-wife and I've got a free beach haus.

#PACtion™ now. #PACtion™ forever.

Orrville by a big amount I bet.

In track they have many individual champions. And boys won a title one year.

A few wrestlers.

3 Boys Basketball and 2 Football
I highly sense you are correct.

Manchester has a boys hoops title and didn't their softball girls win one?

But it's Friday afternoon and I'm not looking all that up when I've gotta order Chinese food for dinner and have some bourbon.

We used to go around the food court at Belden in High School and keep getting free samples from the employees. We usually got chased out after the 4th or 5th time around...

Are we talking championships while a member of PACtion or at any point in the school's athletic history? If talking titles while a member of PACtion, I'm saying Fairless or Manchester. If talking titles at any time in school history, I'm saying Orrville. Also, are we talking current PACtioners or any school that was ever a part of PACtion? If any school that was ever a part of PACtion, then I'm saying CVCA thanks to their past prowess in both wrestling and track and field followed by either Orrville or Coventry.

It's definitely not Tuslaw. Very good wrestling program but not many individual state champs to show for it.
You got me to look into this, so here's the PAC 7 wrestling state champs by school

Triway- 5
Manchester- 5 (*3 additional girls titles*)
Tuslaw- 4
Northwest- 3
Orrville- 3
Fairless- 1 (*Most recent PAC-7 State Title*)
Canton South- 0

NON PAC-7
CVCA- 27
Coventry- 24

So it looks like the answer to the question of the team with the most state championships will be Coventry in a few seasons. Until then, probably Manchester or Orrville

Track and field and cross country state titles

I could be missing a few because the OHSAA hasn't kept the historical materials on its website completely up to date (probably too busy counting money from all the extra divisions they've added across numerous sports). I included as many missing ones as I could:
Triway - 7 (4 boys TF, 1 girls TF, 2 girls TF seated)
Manchester - 3 (2 boys TF, 1 girls TF)
Tuslaw - 1 (1 girls TF)
Northwest - 2 (1 girls TF, 1 girls XC)
Orrville - 21 (10 boys TF, 9 girls TF, 2 boys XC) + 1 team title in boys TF
Fairless - 12 (6 boys TF, 2 girls TF, 4 boys XC)
Canton South - 3 (3 boys TF)

Past and Future PAC-7
CVCA - 28 (14 boys TF, 11 girls TF, 3 girls XC) + 2 team titles in girls TF, 1 team title in boys TF, and 1 team title in girls XC
Coventry - 0
East Canton - 14 (12 boys TF, 1 girls TF, 1 boys XC) + 3 team titles in boys TF and 4 team titles in boys XC
Indian Valley - 8 (4 boys TF, 4 girls TF - includes 1 from IV South)
Tusky Valley - 5 (2 boys TF, 2 girls TF, 1 boys XC)
Sandy Valley - 7 (5 boys TF, 2 girls TF)

Northwest could have easily doubled this total, Kosco kid about 5-10 years ago state runner up 4x, I'm sure a few other schools have some runner ups and almost but not quite to add to these totals.
