One of the dirtiest plays I've ever seen

It says more about the coach if he left the player in the game. That means you are condoning or encouraging that action. Wonder what his reaction would be of that was his player.

Trailing player at minimum should have gotten a flagrant foul for the 2 hand shove in the back. No play on the ball at all. An ejection would have been warranted.

What sucks for Moeller, is they are going to get kids suspended who left the bench. I saw at least one and possibly two and that was a poor angle to see that.

This play ticks me off. Had he jumped to block the shot and ended up crushing the shooter, that sometimes happens. This is just a two hand shove to the back. We will see if the St X coach suspends him for a game or two.

I was not there, but I'm told he received a flagrant foul and the Moe teammate received a tech for confronting/shoving.

Perhaps someone who was there can provide more details?

If he received a flagrant foul, then by rule he is ejected. My guess is he was assessed an intentional foul.

I'll reach out to some guys in the area for clarification.

Apparently, a player from the visiting team pushed an opponent right after this happened, then got nailed with a technical foul for taunting shortly afterwards. Those two earned him an early exit.

The Moeller player pushed the X kid that committed the mugging on the play. He was standing up for his teammate. Please don't try to say the Moeller player did anything close to what happened during that play itself.

Here's the play in question. You can clearly see 33 for St. Xavier shove the Moeller player in the back with both hands.

Here is the stream from St. X. The play in question starts at starts at 4 hours, 37 minutes and 23 seconds. The St. Xavier students broadcasting the game didn't do a great job of relaying what fouls were exactly called--but I'm not sure the calls were announced by the PA announcer either. They did say an additional foul was put on the scoreboard for both Donovan Waleskowski for St. Xavier and Roman Mason for Moeller.

Following the play, the teams shot alternating technical/intentional foul shots and then St. Xavier got possession of the ball. After a steal and fast break by Moeller, Mahaffey dunked on Waleskowski. At that point, Roman Mason was given another technical foul for what he said to Waleskowski. It appeared to me that Mahaffey also had some words and a point toward Waleskowski.

Not only was he not ejected, the refs and his coach left him in the game .
Yes, terrible play by the St X kid - but you are so whiny.

You are a grown man literally coming on here to "out" a St X kid because you still dislike them from your high schools days in the GCL. Grow up.

Probably still wear your Elder jacket to games too. Weirdo.

Another holier than thou and whiny post from you. How was the music last night? Any cuss words?

Yet with all of that exposure, you felt the need to post it here with another holier than thou dig at St X and/or Moeller, which you've made a constant habit of.

You literally posted this because you feel like you have to call them out for everything because you're a child still stuck in the childish rivalries of high school kids. The kid made a mistake and probably deserves a suspension. But you had to pull out that calculated vitriol for "the enemy" because of your massive inferiority complex. All as a grown as* man.

In my opinion, the push was flagrant.

The player "standing up for his teammate" was done in an illegal fashion and was penalized correctly. He then chose poorly when he taunted his opponent after his teammate dunked. It cost him dearly.

Exactly. He was standing up for his buddy and teammate, as he should have.

I'm guessing his coaches had zero issue with his first technical during this scrum.

I live 250 miles from this game and think it was a dirty play and worthy of discussion. I prefer whiny expecting someone to do the right thing over condoning bad behavior by ignoring it.

Completely agree and have no issue with discussing the play on here.

But it's 100% obvious his intent was to specifically call out a fellow GCL school and make them look bad over just simply discussing the play. Grown as* man still trying to call out Moe and St X at every step like he's personally got a game against them next week. He does it all the time.

It's also quite ironic that you say "I prefer whiny expecting someone to do the right thing over condoning bad behavior by ignoring it" - also agree completely and what I've been driving home for years around the behavior of Elder homers on here that continue to blame outside factors for their athletic decline when it is 99% self inflicted. You can't have it both ways, even though the entitled always try.

My comment is questioning the “adults” for leaving the kid in the game.
Should have been an ejection, and, when he didn’t get ejected, the coach should have benched him for the rest of the game. You cannot condone that kind of play as a coach, especially if it’s your best player. Now it shows the rest of the team that there are zero consequences for your actions. Fine leadership!

I’m not sure if there is any kind of review board or not, but the kid needs a 2 game suspension. That is the worst kind of intentional foul you can commit since the Moeller player is just starting to take off and has no control over his body. He then went head first into the stands and was lucky to not be seriously injured. Refs botched this completely. Should have been considered flagrant and an ejection. Instead, a Moeller player got a technical (not deserved at all) then got ejected later for a second technical (probably deserved) and will now be suspended himself.

Just because the Moeller player received a technical doesn't mean the kid did something wrong in the coaches eyes.

There's zero chance Kremer was upset about the first technical from his player.

If that’s the dirtiest play you have ever seen you need to get out more. Yes it was intentional and it was dangerous but dirtiest,no.
Dude, that’s up there for being dirty. I guess you’ve never seen a serious injury when a guy gets shoved in the back on a breakaway. I’ve seen a guy gets flipped and fracture a vertebrae. So, yea, it’s extremely dirty. The intent was to injure.

Doug Gotllieb is posting on X about it. Everyone knows the play happened and it’s open for discussion. Coach suspended the player for a half tonight.

X also had a major issue last week with a parent having to be restrained from attacking Goedde on the floor after the X/LaSalle game. There is also pictures of that. If any of this was done by Elder you would have been the first one fanning the flames on Yappi.

Gotta love the first comment on X (Twitter)- "Fun fact.. that kids dad wanted to press charges for his kid getting elbowed and losing a tooth a couple summers ago in a summer league game! Now this and I'm sure he's quiet."

I've been at an Elder game where a kid did something similar to Jackson Hayes when Jackson went up for a dunk. Almost fell on his head. His dad had to come out of the stands because it looked real bad. There's no place for that type of crap in the game.

But your post wasn't for discussion, it was, just as you mentioned, for fanning the flames. Typical hypocritical stance from you. You always have to have it both ways. Entitled.

My beef with Elder has never been about the kids or the coaches (both are great). It's entitled homers like you who can't move on from high school as grown men.

Lmao! A St. X parent tried to attack Goedde probably the smallest guy in the Gym? Why are Visiting Parents allowed on the Floor after LaSalle Home Games? Who restrained him or her?😂😂
