All games should be live streamed starting tonight and that doesn't look to be the case. Hardly any are being streamed. I understand not wanting people to be there but they should be available to watch.
Saved for posterity for when the first cases appear in Napoleon.
The irony is that - if these measures are successful in slowing the spread of the virus - people will point to the relatively minimal impact on public health as evidence that the measures were pointless.
Will Spectrum be allowed to attend and stream the State Boys Basketball Tournament? All games should be live streamed starting tonight and that doesn't look to be the case. Hardly any are being streamed. I understand not wanting people to be there but they should be available to watch.
On the bright side, I was going to refinance my mortgage this week at under 3.00%, but I may just wait another week as the hysteria gets louder. Seriously, refinance mortgage rates are incredibly low right now. I'll be cutting 10 years off the life of my loan and STILL will be paying less per month.
Going to the casino and hitting the same buttons everyone else in there hits all day long - OKGoing to malls - OK
Going to restaurants - OK
Going to public schools - OK
Going to factories to work - OK
Going to basically any job - OK
Going to root on your community at a sporting event - NOT OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just making sure I'm understanding all of this correctly.
Where the most at risk population like to hang out.Going to the casino and hitting the same buttons everyone else in there hits all day long - OK

And the communities that get a percentage of presale ticket money. That is all gone now that refunds are being given and all tickets are sold at the gate.I was curious as to what some of these venues feel about losing the game day crowds. The crowd pic I saw from BGSU last night looked like the place was pretty close to full. I realize the district boards pay for the arena/gym rental but I imagine the groups that profit off of the concessions and parking cannot be pleased.
OHSAA should not have overreacted like this. They should've taken a step back and issued a warning instead of telling a whole fanbase to f-off. It's very unprofessional imo. But you can stream the games tn on Chatterbox Sports.
The Blue Jackets respond to different stakeholders. The OHSAA had no choice. DeWine forced their hand with his directive.
They could not take a chance with the liability potential. It's a smart financial (business) decision. and exactly why the Blue Jackets gave DeWine the middle finger.
My point is countries all over the world are taking drastic measures in hopes to get ahead of this. The problem with this virus, besides not having a cure/vaccine, is the 14 day incubation period where you show no symptoms but are contagious. What if you found at at this very moment you have the virus. Now think back to everything you've done over the past 2 weeks, places you've gone, people you've interacted with. THAT is the precautions you see are being taken. It's one thing to see someone sick and keep away from them, it's another to be around untold people that are contagious and sick but look and feel perfectly normal. That's an incredibly dangerous situation to the health of the entire public.
I'm 63, and people my age and older are the most susceptible to having serious complications from this virus.........and I'm going to live every day without being paranoid about it.
Yea because choosing to attend a sporting event and choosing to end a potential human life are the same thing...the governor said this move will save lives, and suddenly conservatives are pro choice ?
Gov De Wine says today that no decision has been made to "close schools K-12, but we may get to that point." My son teaches in a large Cincinnati suburb HS and teachers were told to take home all electronics that would be needed for electronic learning and they have a just scheduled staff meeting at 7:15 tomorrow--my guess is Ohio Superintendents have been notified to make preparations for an early Spring Break, maybe beginning after Friday classes. We'll see!!
Has their been an announcement yet on spectators at boys state trny next weekend yet. An announcement was to be made today after yesterdays girls final 4 announcement. I havent seen anything new. Or is it staying the same as tonight through end of the Tournament?
The NCAA just came out and said only family and essential personnel at the NCAA tournament.
There's zero chance the OHSAA is allowing spectators at state next week.
