Ohio State Recruiting

Hartline is a proven recruiter. OSU will produce plenty of 1st round WR picks. Need secondary recruits, it's been abysmal for multiple seasons.
The constant turnover in that part of the coaching department has certainly hurt OSU - not to mention Tavar Johnson being an absymal hire by Urban, one of many awful hires by him.

I hope OSU hits the portal and get some proven talent to fill some holes. OSU has lost to Michigan two years in a roll largely due to losing the battle in the trenches. Michigan doesn't recruit higher ranked players than OSU. They do seem to have success in the portal.

Go look at the 247 composite rankings. There's your answer
You do realize Bama and Georgia have more roster to fill after this year than OSU, right? They signed 27 and 28, respectively. OSU signed 20. The quality of recruit by average stars is nearly identical to those two.

That's right, because they are cut throat and get rid of players that aren't contributing which leads to more available scholarships. Night and day difference between them and OSU. One of the reasons why they win and OSU doesn't

As I already explained, you really need to break each team down by position to determine if one position group is pulling up their composite score. Without that info, your claim that unlike other teams, OSU’s score is being overly influenced by the WRs is not valid.
Who do you root for?

Ohio state is the winningest program in the last 50 years. And have won as many national titles as UGA over that time period, but have played for many more national titles than UGA.

OSU also plays in the Big Ten which is a bad football conference. Allows them to get away with not always playing at their best to advance. It also could explain how they've been in so many title game appearances and lost

The Big Ten was just fine in bowl season. Other than Purdue everyone won or was right there at the end. Can’t win ‘em all.

He roots for Team Being Miserable

They also went 1-3 vs the SEC. That's where they needed to prove themselves and failed like always
C’mon. They were literally less than 10 seconds from being 3-1 vs SEC. Two last second kicks. It’s not like they are light years behind. I do agree some of the B1G schools need to step it up, but one thing that is not going to change much is the demographic shift to the south and west.

Dawand Jones was ranked outside of the top 1,000 nationally. He had a handful of high-end offers, but was definitely a major developmental project.

Not too many sure things in OL recruiting and it's probably the toughest position group to project. The stars usually seem to matter less than the development.
The hilarious irony of naming Dawand Jones as a reason for OSU’s offense performing well, while simultaneously b*tching about not signing 5*/high 4* OL is too much for me.

The top couple of teams in the SEC are very good. The rest of the conference is pretty meh. Who is it you root for?

UCLA insider thinks Kingston is between UCLA and USC. Did not mention OSU.

Back up Tennessee LT RJ Perry has entered the portal. Former DT who flipped over to the offensive side his first couple of years at TN. Not a lot of tape on him at OT, just 65 snaps on offense this past year. Not a lot of other options at OT in the portal right now.

Ohio U freshman all-American kicker Nathaniel Vakos entered the portal. Would look good as a Buckeye.
