tOSU annouces their new Prez: https://www.cleveland.com/osu/2020/06/suny-chancellor-kristina-m-johnson-to-be-next-ohio-state-university-president-reports.html

She checks a couple academic boxes, (woke female, political connections, fund raising machine) but the folks in New York think she chases personnel $s at every turn and that she is cutting bait and leaving the SUNY system in a bad place. It will be interesting to see how she does with an institution that has an athletic juggernaut as part of the income stream, something the SUNY system does not.

Post-Saban Alabama will be a middling program again
They put too much money in it to fall too far, but strong coaches like Bear and Saban could keep the boosters in check for the most part, but anyone other than those two have had difficulty winning at a national title level year after year. Gene Stallings was probably the best of them. When Saban retires, it gives the rest of the SEC a chance to catch up and pass Bama again. Unless they make Dabo an offer he can’t refuse.

So, with attendance limited to 20%, will any current student get to see a game or will all of the tickets go to donors and influential alumni?

I would say maybe 90% donors/fans with $$$ and 10% students, or around that.

I would assume he’s going to play this year if that’s the case. He already opted out, so it wouldn’t make since to go live to say you’re still opting out.
You would be correct!

Ugly first drive for the defense, but this could be just like the Georgia Tech-Clemson game last week where GT scored quick then didn't score again on their way to a 73-7 loss.

Defense is suspect and the rushing attack is lacking. Best o-line in the nation is falling short run blocking. Doesn't look like a Clemson or Alabama type of team. Hope it is just opening game jitters.

They lost 10 guys to the NFL draft, including possibly the best pass rusher in NCAA history and 2 cornerbacks in the first round. 6 in the top 100 of the draft with the 2nd, 3rd, 19th, 55th, 73rd, 75th, 98th picks. 7 of the players drafted were from the defense. They also had 5 UDFAs signed by teams.

The lesson- RELAX Buckeye fans. Lots of newbies and an odd year for preseason practice. Just because it's October 25th doesn't mean they should be in mid-season form.

Ohio St shows it's class by going for a TD instead of taking a knee with 18seconds left in the game. Coach Day said he didn't have the right personnel in the game to take a knee

Your time is off there. It was third down. If you take a knee, you give the ball back or kick a field goal. You can’t predict what the other coach is thinking. Shoot the other coach called time out to get a play in.
Your hatred for OSU is really showing or you don’t know football. Or both!

Yeah. I’m no going to take a knee and give the opposition’s coach a chance to call a time out and then you’ll still have whinnying when they kick the FG after said timeout. Geez. Did you always get a trophy?🙊🙉🙈

You take a knee and the game is over. Nope didn't always get a trophy, some teams win with class, some don't; it is not a big deal, it is what it is.

I do have to laugh at the idea the other coach might call a TO in that situation
