OCC Outlook

I don't see how that wasn't classy. Pancake understands so I can't figure out why you're saying he isn't classy. All he said was that he has never heard of Dreger for being good at volleyball (neither have I). What's wrong with him saying that?

Ive played Darby twice last year and I never even heard of him lol, but if the man is going D1 then hes doing something right.

He was implying that since he had never heard of him, he wasn't good. Or at least that's what his posts made it sound like.

I wasn't implying that he wasn't good....he prob is somewhat decent i just thought he was flaunting himself and his being recruited around when it wasn't necessary....if he is that good he doesn't need to tell others....his play on the court should be enough...just saying that i don't even remember the kid or haven't heard his name before so in my opinion he doesn't seem to me to be amazing or anything

im not fluanting it bud, i got on here because people were talking about why i wasnt playing and i decided to let people know why. i dont really care what people think of me b/c i am proving it on the court.

o wow seriously guys... why cant we just grow up a little? i mean honestly who cares if he isnt playing? who cares if he is? sweet he has a scholarship to a good D1 school... good for you Dreger, thats good for the OCC when was the last time someone got a D1 scholarship from the OCC? this is a good thing... and even if you havent heard of him, that doesnt make him not that good... we are talking about High School Volleyball... not exactly the most well known and documented sport... ---- i played high school football and i didnt even know some of the best players in the state for that... and we all know how popular football is in Ohio... now really... grow up

that is actually a pretty big difference... Because there are so many teams for football it is easy to overlook the probably 25 or so that will get D1 scholarships. For volleyball, there is maybe one or two a year in Ohio that get D1 volleyball scholarships. I mean have you ever heard the name Kehoe or Holt for example? Since vball scholarships are given out pretty rarely u have to be a STUD and not many ppl have even heard of Dreger so it does come as a surprise to most. No offense but thats the way it is, has been, and will be

The way in which pancake said it was fairly rude. Somebody gets a D1 scholarship to a Top 10 volleyball school, the least you could do is say congratulations. You don't have to make this dramatic.

As for Dreger, he should do well at the college level.

Are you saying he will do good in college because he is getting a scholarship? What else do you know about him? It's not very respectable to quit on your teammates.

P.S. Steve Kehoe would set up Max Holt to six pack dreger

Thats what i was saying... Congrats to dreger then... Thats cool thanks for telling the world to have everyone think ur sweet. Since he came on here and said that, that is the reason ppl started goin after him. If he had said nothing then there would not have been this argument. If i remember correctly he is maybe 6'3" tops and i just dont understand how he was recognized... I would be interested in hearing how he came in contact with the school and how they decided to give him a scholarship though

Good luck with that lol, he makes a thread telling people he will answer the questions and then all you get from him is "Im not allowed to say at this time."

that shows how much you know f-i-f fif, im 6'6. good work

really? I remember seeing you at a few tourneys and there was on way that you were as tall as me...maybe 6'4 or something, but I dont think you were as tall as me by any means.

yellowblood, grow up. You're probably a senior now right? Act like it.

I've been watching volleyball for quite some time and have seen Dreger play more times than I can count. So how much do I know? Quite a bit.

Why are we still talking about a kid who doesn't even have what it takes to play for his high school team? Let's talk about the winners that actually do play HS.

The winners, like his former teammates who have the guts to move forward and play a game they apparently love more than some kid who MAYBE has more talent (maybe not!), deserve more chatter here.

I agree with you trubvallfan, great point.

its really hard to play for a high school team when you cant interact with the coach b/c of a restraining order. you guys are lame. grow up and maybe mature a little bit

With a restraining order (apparently) it would make it severly difficult to play for his hs team. I don't think he should have to continue to defend his decision. It's his decision, he has to live with it. Why all the flames?

its not like i dont want to play, i miss it so much. it sucks that i cant play and that my boys are going into battle without me and i wish them the best, i hate that im not playing

First, I understand that you can't say some things that perhaps you would like to say Dreger, and this is not directed at you personally. I didn't know school districts had the authority to issue 'restraining orders'. Seems that could be a bit awkward in a school environment.

Dreger, good luck to you in the future - on and off the court. When this is all over and you have moved on, be the bigger person and focus on the positive experiences you had at Darby and eslewhere!

Again, good luck and keep us informed as to where you decide to sign.

thank you man, that means alot. the restraining order stared with our principal and AD, then extended to the super intendent. just saying we cant have any contact at all without the principal our superintend knowing and activley involved. just a bad situation,

there were a ton of great memories from darby. state final 4.state final 8, the not losing conference or distict championship and 2 regional championships. holding a few records at darby is great to. i wont forget the teamates and the memories i had, just the coaches
