Actually, the issue of placing restrictions on public comments in and of itself was proper and correct. But it was something they should already have been familiar with. That's what strikes me about this, even more so having seen this longer video. Their conversation make it sound like they're brand-new to the job. If they had been on a year or more, then their lack of deportment on Zoom coupled with being unsure of their public participation policy is even more troubling.

What does this have to do with the teachers union?

You saw Oakley "Union" School District and assumed these were all union members right? I see the wrastler jumped on board too. smh

Board members are members of the community who are elected to the school board.

Unprofessional for sure.

I'll point something else out. We live in a day and age where no one wants these jobs. Why? Because they are thankless service jobs and not done for the pay, which is peanuts. Most school boards are without pay or in the $1,000-$2,000 range. In larger schools districts maybe a tad more.

In today's world every Karen has an opinion and loves to cast stones because she grew up in the Jerry Springer generation where you talk a bunch of $chit about the people on the stage with zero regard to your own glass house. Throw covid-19 into the mix and school boards and administrations have it twice as bad. Half the parents who want school opened up will be the first to bit$ch if their kid gets covid-19. The other half want school closed but will b$tch about how you do it. Damned if you do/don't. The Karen at the end of the video will LOVE telling everyone how she started a petition calling for the board members ouster but is what she should really do is run for school board where she will find it is very difficult to make everyone happy. Then she will see the minimal pay is not worth all of the emails and late night phone calls from all of the other Karen's who think their kid is center of the Universe and would quit.
 
School board guy was right. This is an argument about parents who want to stay home and smoke dope vs teachers who want to stay home and smoke dope.

the difference is the teachers still expect to get paid

This is pretty spot in IMO. A bunch of parents have learned that raising their kids s%cks. The same parent who demand the teacher perform miracles with the 45 minutes they spend with their unruly child every day. It starts at home.

Then there are the teachers that believe they should be paid full boat at home so they can smoke dope. Lol. This is true and angers me because there are teachers that take their job very seriously and want to be in person and regardless probably work even harder from home. Always a few that will take full advantage of a bad situation and ruin it for all.
 
Shame on the parents who can't work from home like the teachers do, and may have had to take a leave of absence or quit working.

No conservative would ever want to serve on a school board. Imo Critical thinking is not allowed. They were acting negative towards public comment. These boards aren't really boards. Roberts Rules says it all

Zero reason for schools to not be open. Homeschool your kid if you are scared. Kids arent learning anything sitting at home.

do these parents blame the school when their kid gets the flu or any virus?

Wow, you nailed this one. But, remember the days of public service? The giving of oneself for rhe betterment of others. Money can't fix0 this. The educational system is broken.
