Liberty Center 59 Pettisville 56 OT
Toledo Christian 61 Archbold 58 OT
Swanton 44 Genoa 38
Wauseon 53 Rossford 41
Delta 55 North Baltimore 36
Fairview 34 Bryan 32 Ouch

4-3, took down some league champs tonight also

Liberty Center jumped from 10th to 7th in the Martin rankings after taking down Swanton and Pettisville this weekend. Originally, they had winnable games with Bryan and Fairview next weekend before tough games against PH and Liberty Benton the weekend of the draw. So, they had a good chance to close out the year 9-8 and possibly staying just ahead of Archbold at the 7 seed. Then, they went out and schedule Emmanuel Christian for this Tuesday, we'll see if that has any factor to them dropping down a seed.

Wauseon and Rossford likely headed for a rematch in the tournament. The Indians' physical defense and ball movement on offense gave Rossford fits on Saturday night.

Just caught the 4th quarter, but it is hard to play from behind while sitting in a zone late in the game. Wauseon did a good job of choosing who was going to take a majority of the shots in the 4th quarter by leaving Rossford's 5th option so wide open that he almost had to shoot.

Vorst went to the bench with two fouls half way through the 2nd quarter and Wauseon was able to build a lead with him on the bench. I thought the Indians did a good job of walling him off and not letting him improve his post position after the catch and clogging up the lane to make it hard to find cutters. Wauseon's post is a big, strong kid who was able to hold up long enough for the double team to get there. If/when they meet again in the tournament it will be a tough matchup for Rossford - especially if Wauseon shoots as well as they did on Saturday.

Wow! Just heard Archbold lost to Stryker last night. Not a knock on Stryker, but when is the last time Archbold was this bad in basketball?? 1997....The year after they were State Runner-Up?

Archbold losing to neighboring districts is bad for the portal. Good thing they have talent from the North and Northwest on their team already.

LOL...as an alum of a BBC school...Delta running the table through the league isn't saying much but congrats to the Panthers on a really good season so far.
