Has Defiance named their new head coach?
Steve Rittenour. Been an assistant since 2001 and track coach since I think 2008.
Weirdly, I remember talk around 08-10 that he was in line to get the football job after Buti, and then suddenly Kline comes in, and then Cooper applies. Kinda weird how things ending up turning out eventually.

Curious who goes after this so “late” in the spring.
Does not matter. 0-10 Northview was outscored 566-20 last fall.
That's not coaching.

Bates, a (health and PE) teacher at Elmwood, was the head coach at Van Buren from 2017 to 2021. He also was an assistant coach at Tiffin Calvert, Port Clinton, Fostoria, and Elmwood.

It blows me away how bad they are with student counts that high. It’s just a pure country club and travel sports student body I guess

This is flat-out humiliating—outscored 566 to 20. That’s not a football season, that’s a crime scene. Twenty points. All year.

Don’t know who all has applied, but I have heard that there will be a Social Studies teaching opening in the building… think they go with experience or try and go young?

Nwoal is going yo come down to PH and LC and PH has there whole defense back they had the best defense in the area last year so the PH VS LC game is going to be huge thia year!

Second best defense around. They should be stout again, but I think they will miss Creager and Punches as the athletic/tough outside linebackers. Punches had the play of the game in the 4th quarter that kept them in it against LC.

LC had the best Defense by far. PH #2 but it's not even close
They do return most of their defense but Creager and Punches will be greatly missed. Creager's strength and speed was a huge part of what made that defense so tough. I personally believe PH will give up more points in 2025 than they did in 2024.

Only way Vicars is going anywhere is if the talent is in place to win now, and he'll jump as soon as it dries up.
