Nothing cheap about cost of Texas high school football

Nice article. Yeah, that Legacy Stadium looks great. With a 9th school coming online in a few years, a second stadium was needed.

My only point to people that balk at the price tag: Medina Highland built a 5,000-seat stadium south of Cleveland for roughly $8 million which included all the infrastructure. And that's just one school.

8 schools at $8 million each would be $64 million. Instead of building eight individual stadiums at 5,000 seats (way too small for Katy schools), it's easier to build one more 'great' stadium that can hold the crowd when two schools play each other.

The second floor of the field house houses the district athletic staff and has a large event center.
