Northwest Ohio Realignment

Hey LimaJock, if you had to guess, which schools do you see that might possibly look to join the BVC down the road?
Again, don't shoot the messenger, but if Delphos continues to lose at the current rate, then just maybe opinions will change. For context, there was never going to be a varsity football game played at St Mary's high school. So, maybe a few years down the road....... Also, the obvious "location wise" school would be Allen East, but I think they would have to fall competitive wise before anyone would consider a move. Having LCC in the league does make it more possible in both of these situations. 5% instead of 1%. LOL

Delphos historically has been one of the most up and down teams as far as wins would go. They were awful from 1963-76. Had some decent teams at the end of the decade then in the 80's and 90's pretty much dominated with a few average seasons sprinkled in there. Since 2000 they have really been up and down more than most schools in the NWC. With Jefferson it seems to be very cyclical more than the others. Is today's world different from earlier in their history? Most definitely, but i could also see Jefferson and St. Johns merging high schools in the next 10-15 years too. If the ed choice doesn't spur growth in DSJ enrollment they will have no choice to merge with the public school. At least at the high school level. Regardless of what the big money supporters think. It will boil down to having a good options for the actual educational needs of the students. If you don't have good enrollment then you can't offer everything they need to stay competitive in the classroom.

DSJ number are higher for its younger grades. Their smallest classes are not out the door. Since town is not getting bigger I assume the DJ might be in for some smaller classes. Public and private schools don't merge. The private school just shuts down.

That's what I meant. They would shudder the high school and keep the elementary and JH separate from the public school.

Jefferson to the BVC has no chance based on geography alone

Okay understand what you were saying then. I don't think DSJ is going away anytime in foreseeable future. Financially I believe they are doing well (guess price of farmland big help) and enrollment showing improvement and as you mentioned Ed Choice will only help them.

Heard LaCharles Smith and an NBC Defensive Coordinator. Thats all I have gotten, have to assume there is more.
From one doormat to another.

right!!!!

As an assistant at Whitmer, they did pretty well didn't they?

Smith only has two year's experience as a head coach, is that correct? There are some very good HCs that didn't stick the landing first shot. Hardly seems to have earned such harsh criticism.

Heard from reliable L.B. source that Toledo Christian applied to join the BVC for football only. 67 miles from farthest league member.
Where does TC play their home games? Ada played them in 2009 or 2010 with the game at Holland Springfield High school. Just curious if that is considered the home for them or if they use different venues
