Yappi, Where are you getting those divisional breakdowns?I do not see them on their website but you can get the numbers they are using from previous seasons. Assuming that all the teams that planned to play last year will play this year and that there are no new teams, these are the base enrollments:
The answer for all-non football sports is the largest 32 schools in D1 should be D1, then schools 33-193 should be D2. 194-386 should be D3, and so on.This makes no sense to have 4 divisions
DIV has 194 teams with a 99 boy difference
DIII has 193 teams with a 76 boy difference
DII has 192 teams with a 144 boy difference
DI has 193 teams with a 954 boy difference
makes a lot of sense, the smaller DI schools have zero chance when it comes to the tournament. They might as well not even go. And don’t give me that get better and beat the best. Because most of the smaller communities that are DI have to play the hand they are given. This needs to change.
This is a good model. I might make it the top 48 or 64 but your idea is a good one.The answer for all-non football sports is the largest 32 schools in D1 should be D1, then schools 33-193 should be D2. 194-386 should be D3, and so on.
