The Colonels (10-8,0-1 Southland) who is the preseason favorite in the conference was taken down by the New Orleans Privateers (8-8,1-0 Conf) tonight. Pierce Spencer (Porter, TX) led the Colonels with 25 points, 7 boards, and 4 steals. For New Orleans, Troy Green (Saint Rose, LA) led the way with 26 points and 9 boards. Derek St. Hilaire (Atlanta, GA) chipped in with 23 points. New Orleans won the battle of the boards 43-35.
