New Lights at the Football Stadium

It looks like new lights are being installed at the football stadium. Was there any consideration of moving the old lights from the football field to the baseball field? I know if this was done it wouldn’t be the long-term solution but it would get lights on the baseball field until a better option was found. Are the old lights from the football field in good enough condition that moving them would be worth while?

Better some lights than none. I dout the games for Highschool could be moved back to play under the lights this year but it would make for more games during the summer.

The new lights at the stadium are part of the energy saving program that Mr. Gallina work on with the federal gov. they are a high energy saving light but very bright. the old lights were never even considered for the baseball field because they are not energy saving.

Thanks I heard during basketball seasion that thay were putting lights on the baseball field, I guess it must have been just talk.

Word from Mikei G was that the old lights from the stadium could not be put up because of some type of enviromental issues. The baseball field according to Gallina will be lit but not until next year or the year after. I personnaly know they will be done because of his strong baseball background. Why could we not have had this man as superintendent 10 years ago. I hope and pray that he is not going to jump to the county when it presents itself. Both he and Lynette are a real credit to the community and we are definately lucky to have them. It is so refreshing to see him on the sidelines at all events including musicals, even going into the elementary level. Thanks Mike........

Thanks for the info guys. The reasons for not using the old lights from the football stadium make sense. I guess we wait a year or two for lights for the baseball field.

He's one of the nicest men I have ever met. He always makes a way to get to all the schools events and he makes his away around the school coming into classrooms every once in awhile to talk to everyone. He even had baseball practice with us last year. We are very lucky to have him here.

Your right he's the best thing to hapen to Hoover. He told me he wouldn't be happy untill he knew everyone in the North Canton Dis. and I think he will, if he doesn't already.

Well I happend to be at the Lacrosse game tonight and they tested out the new lights. They're are nice and birght compared to the old ones. I was surprised how lit up the field was with only 2 poles of lights on each side of the field. NCCS made a great decision putting those lights in.
