NCAA Tournament Discussion

Wojo has been terrible really. Marquette still hasn't been in the tournament with him

They were in the Tourney last yr. Capel is entering into a horrible mess at Pitt, no clue why he wouldn’t wait for a better situation, even at a lower profile school to open up. Pitt is in almost as much trouble as IU after the Sampson ordeal. It’s almost unimaginable a program could be that decimated w/o a major rules violation.

Nike turned the Bagley dad into George Jefferson and moved the family into a million dollar neighborhood to coach AAU and have a front row seat to sign junior.

Have to wonder if the kid ended up at UK if the media would have been more interested in the rags to riches story. Can't blame the dad or the family one bit. Enough of the one and done charade. Let the kid go pro out of high school if he is good enough and take Nike for everything he can get.

Pitt's a good job. Good facilities, incredible game environment (when the team isn't awful), and a ton of talent within a four hour drive of campus (D.C., Baltimore, Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, Buffalo, etc.).

It's incredible how bad they were this year without sanctions, but somebody with credibility who can recruit can turn it around within a couple years. This is a fantastic opportunity for Capel to essentially show he can build a program from scratch. If he's competent he should be able to do so.

5* recruit Darius Bazley, has de-committed from Syracuse and will head to the G-League. Will be interesting to see how this plays out at next years draft and see if he is successful whether future "one and done" type players follow suite.

Michigan played about as bad as they could possibly play, but only down 7. Have to think they’ll eventually pass Loyola on the 2nd half once shots start to fall

I'd favor the winner of 'Nova/Kansas, but the winner of this game will be a tremendous pain to prepare for in 48 hours. Both run a tremendous amount of complex offense.

Difference in the game was that Michigan had 2 NBA talents in Wagner and Matthews and Loyola didn't. Rest of Michigan was very underwhelming.

Either way, really amped to see Michigan get another shot at a championship.

Anyone else notice the buzzer they're using? Good Lord, sounds like the horn of some 20 year old import sh!+box used by some teenager impatient at the light traffic light behind you.

Villanova and Michigan are going to set a record for most 3's attempted in a NCAA tournament game. Should be fun to watch.

Nova has been on a dominant run through this tournament. Their smallest margin of victory is 12 so far and they have had a much tougher run than Michigan’s cakewalk. If Nova plays up to their potential Nova wins by 10 plus, they are by far the best team this year. A year everyone said lacked a dominant team and yet Nova has been just that. Makes those Xavier losses easier to understand.

They weren’t “dominant” in the Reg Season, usually “dominant” teams win their Conference. Xavier choked this year, Nova’s run doesn’t change that.

Villanova started the year 22-1, the had a lapse during the final month of the season - the dog days of February for college basketball where they went 5-3. They won the conference tournament and are now in the National Title Game - where they will be heavy favorites. I'd say they've been the best team all year long, especially with those dominating wins over fellow #1 seed Xavier.

They've been the best team all year IMO. A couple losses in Feb didn't change that. Jay Wright has his team firing on all cylinders right now, hopefully they didn't peak one game too early though
