You need to win three conso matches to place.
If you are in the quarters you need to win one of your next two to AA.

Buckeyes

Conso

133 Mendez vs Zaccone (CAMP)
141 D'Emilio vs Crook (VT)
157 Gallaghar vs Holschag (UNI)
174 Smith vs Wolak (COL)
197 Hoffman vs Dean (PSU)
285 Gas Tank Tate vs Griess (Navy)

Quarters

149 Sasso vs Yaya (NW) - Sasso is 5-0 or 6-0 against Yaya. But all have been close and a few in OT
165 Kharcha vs O'Toole (Mizz) - big underdog i think
184 Romero vs Brooks (PSU) - not impossible but also a big underdog

I think D'Emilio got hosed against Woods yesterday. I understand I am a little biased, but how Woods didn't have 2 or 3 stallings on him for one and 2, that has been called a TD in college for years...just not yesterday in this match.

I see 6 AAs...

Mendez
D'Emilio
Sasso
Kharcha
Smith
Romero

I hope I am wrong and there is 1 or 2 more.

I would gladly take 6 AA's if OSU can manage that.

to get to AA

Mendez, if he wins the first conso, then has to get past Ragusin (TTUN). I think he can win both. But that leaves loser of Byrd/Fix to AA in blood rd. Prob Byrd. Not gonna be easy. But never count this dude out.

D'Emilio, if he wins first conso (Crook (VT)), then its winner of Mattin and Schwartz (OU). I think prob Schwartz. Then loser of Matthews (Pitt) and Bartlett (PSU). I will never rule out Dom but it just seems to tough.

Sasso, AA somewhere

Kharchla, beat O'Toole and you are AA. Lose to O'Toole and its winner of (Hall (WV), Heller (Pitt), Cook SDSU) and Olejnik (NIU)). I think he can do it.

Smith, win over Wolak (Col), not easy. I think he lost to him in the dual in Dec. Then have to beat Fisher (NW)/Cramer(CMU) winner. That puts him in blood round against O'Reilly (Minn) (who will lose to Starocci (PSU) in the quarters. Smith can AA I think.

Romero, beat Brooks and you AA. Lost to Brooks and its winner of four guys i think he can beat. Romero AA's somewhere.

Gallagher - if he can win two conso matches it looks like Lewan (TTUN) to AA

Hoffman - has Dean (PSU) right off the bat first conso

Ordorff - if he can win two conso matches he will prob end up with Schultz (ASU) in blood round.
