NBIN - Notable Ohio Entries (distance)

This is in no way comprehensive, so sorry... I know it's incomplete. But here's a decent snapshot of Ohio entries at NBIN in Boston next week. I'm really curious to see how Ackley fares against other studs. 8:55? Looks like the Buckeye state will be pretty well represented...

Connor Ackley is now the ALL-TIME Ohio HS record-holder in the boys' 2 Mile with his 8:51.10 for 7th place. His 8:48.47 split at the 3200m is also an all-time record in Ohio!

This takes down the OLDEST running record on the books dating back to the legendary Alan Scharsu (Austintown Fitch) in 1978. Scharsu's record was 8:53.6 MT on the old 160 yard banked track at the Coliseum in Richfield, Ohio when he placed 2nd in the old Knights of Columbus meet in 1978.
