Mississippi has a new state flag
By referendum vote in the November 2020 election, it became official January 11, 2021.

73% approval by referendum on November 3, 2020.[
Adopted by the Mississippi State House of Representatives on January 5, 2021
Passed by the State Senate on January 6, 2021.
Signed by the state's Governor on January 11, 2021.

Mississippi was the last of the state flags that contained a rendition of
the Battle Flag of Northern Virginia incorporated in it's design.

I like it. It should have been done long ago. They can honor their war dead in other ways but the Confederate battle flag should not be any part of a modern state flag. But, of course, that is a matter for their citizens to resolve, as they did here.

eh, I don't like it. Vertical stripes on a flag that waves horizontally, bugs my analness. And too damn symmentrical for a flag held on one end. Blah.
