Who will be MAC champions

It'll be interesting how Versailles relouds with the loss of some key players; specifically the QB
Anna seemed to get better as the season progressed and were somewhat young last year weren't they?

I think top 5 are
1. Marion Local
2. Minster
3. Coldwater (Could they possibly play Minster this season; forget when the schedule adjusts)
4. Versailles
5. Anna

Are we not overrating Minster here?
 
Minster and Coldwater do play next year. Delphos St. John's is the team Minster does not play the next two years. I do not recall who Coldwater does not play.

Oh, interesting. Thought last years schedules were still the same this year. That probably changes things.

Not sure what all they had coming back, but they're skill guys were pretty good last year when healthy. They played Versailles to 1 score and were the only team to score on ML in the playoffs (28-7)

With them playing Coldwater this year, I still think you could have Minster/CW at 2/3 interchangably; winner of the game obviously being 2 and loser being 3. I do feel confident in saying both are above Versailles, but everyone is chasing Marion Local.

I wouldn't rank them above any undefeated MSML team that won state(7 of them) Then you get into the great Coldwater teams, St. John's, St. Henry, etc...not looking good for a top 10 ranking. That Anna team was impressive though. I'll say that. 2024 Minster may be the best of them all. :)

They got beat by a team that knew how to exploit their one weakness. The top 10 teams of all time had enough other "stuff" to mask any weaknesses that may appear. That's the only reason why I can't put them in my top 10.

I’m in agreement, but what weakness are you referring to? I remember that game pretty well. ML turned it over a bunch in the first half and Anna did the same in the second half.

Their strength was they were excellent runners when they were able to get north and south. However, ML knew that if they made them run sideline to sideline then ML had the advantage and that's exactly what they did. They kept the middle closed and forced everything to the outside.

With as many state championship teams the MAC has had, I don’t think you can call them a top 10 all-time team if they didn’t run the table in league play. They also had the advantage of ML being in a different division. If they were both D6 that year then we might have never thought twice about that Anna team after 2019

2nd play of the game ML fumbled the football in the end zone for an Anna TD. Flyers outgained Anna by about 80 yds and had 4 TO's to Anna's 3. Difference in the game Anna had less than 80 yds. passing, 4/ 8, most of that on their final drive when ML went to prevent. Game is on You Tube.

that is simply wrong... if you had seen them play , you wouldn't think that....

don't agree... ML had some of those undefeated teams that wouldn't touch that Anna team.. I'm just going by what i have seen on the field...

I’d agree with you on the first part. With the way the MAC is, it’s hard to say a team is one of the greatest of all time without a league title attached to it.
 
When talking about top ten MAC teams of all time SH with Booby Hoying jr. and sr. years, DSJ teams of late 90's, 2010 DSJ team, Versailles teams of the 90's, 03 Versailles, Coldwater 05, 15 teams, Several of the undefeated ML teams. Been a lot of great teams in the MAC but one loss Anna (19 team) is not in the top ten.

Great points, can the MAC claim Versailles' teams of the 90s though? Even without them, there's still way more teams I would put ahead of that Anna team.
