Well the Miami Marlins finally pulled it off, they signed shortstop and .338 hitting Jose Reyes, reportedely paying 102 Million, the largest contract in Marlins history. Hanley Ramirez not happy on moving to third base. This signing follows Heath Bell to a three-year 27 million contract to be their closer.

Stay tuned. They are not done yet.

It'd be amazing if Miami could sign Pujols too. However, I think both of these contracts will probably backfire on them.

I'm still trying to figure out how a team that was ranked 28th in attendance last season has this much money to spend. Weren't the Marlins traditionally pretty tight spenders?

I also heard that a lot of the problems they had with attendance had to do with weather and they had a fairly large TV audience.
