Mentor vs brush

Hard to say how much Brush’s James would have made a difference. It seeems to me that Brush was out of gas in the 4th quarter, giving Mentor easy layups in the paint. Mentor runs a motion offense that is hard to guard & can wear you down late in the game.

The loss of James was big. He is a huge part of Brush's game. Still, IMO he isn't a 20-point difference. From the sounds of it, with how well Mentor played, they'd have won (albeit a closer game) whether James was on the court or not.

Switch coaches and Brush would have won. That's the ace in the hole. Coach K. The maestro. Forget James. If he isn't smart enough to focus on basketball and not screw his coach and team over ,than he wasn't smart enough to have overcome the Pike's Peak that Mentor has become in Brush's life. Talent means nada without brains and composure.
