Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker to follow Mark Emmert as NCAA president

Baker's term as governor is up in January and he'll reportedly take over the NCAA in March. Emmert announced his resignation in April.

Sounds like the NCAA wanted a politically connected guy to help guide the organization through some big changes to their business model, namely how to get a nationwide NIL deal that will be legally acceptable. Also how to navigate a potential spinning off of FBS football from the NCAA umbrella.

Just do something ffs. NIL is out of control. The kids deserve to benefit off their image but this pay to play bs isn’t good for the sport.
