What is going on in Lowellville? Successful Coach steps down after the season. Now, HOF Coach steps down after 6 weeks of being on the job.
Lowellville football coach Jim Tsilimos resigned not even 2 months after taking over as the Head Coach

The answer for Lowellville is someone the paisans in the Valley will love.
The answer is simple.
Lowellville needs to hire Phil Here Today, Gone To-Mauro.
He might give you only one year, but it's a year.

I have no dog in this fight and didn't know where Lowellville was until I googled it. But reading the article above, one would have to assume certain promises, conditions or terms were agreed upon and were not being met. The HOF coach seen the sinking ship a month and half in and got the heck out of dodge. Unless there is some other factor that has not been disclosed

My understanding of why the guy before Tsimilos left was exactly that. It seemed the administration looked at sports as a nuisance that they would rather not have to deal with. They viewed their coaches as people that should have been willing to do it for free out of the kindness of their heart because they knew they had parents that would if the opportunity arose. My guess is their next hire is somebody with a child in the district and/or on the football team.

Tsilimos, 71, resigned on Wednesday as the Rocket coach after six weeks on the job. He cited personal reasons for his departure.
He is Lisbon’s winningest coach with 147 wins including the 1995 Division V state title in 25 seasons as head coach. He has a career record of 201-137.
Tsilimos is being inducted into the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in June

Ten years ago it was reported that Lowellville Local School District had 600 students and 300 of those were from open enrollment.
Today they're reported as having 444 total students. That's K-12. I'm sure over half are open enrollment still. Without OE, Lowellville's district wouldn't exist.

The funny thing is, with how much he's bounced around, you'd think maybe he never really had any success and was just taking open positions no one else wanted. But that Jackson stretch was a good run. He could've transferred that into a position at a school to retire from after a 10-20 year run as the figurehead type coach. Instead, he just started bouncing around like a pinball.

Malutic Live posted that the Wellsville school board opted to not renew the Wellsville Head Coach's contract. In the comments there is suggestion that Tsilimos was offered that job. Some are also saying that Rich Wright might be leaving Southern Local to take the Wellsville job also so take it with a grain of salt. If true about Tsilimos that is a bad look on him or a bad look on Lowellville School Board. Not sure right now. I have my own assumptions.

he had a decent run at Canal too. Honestly, I like to joke about his one night stands at these schools lately, but yeah he really is a good dude. Had some tough squads at Jackson that I played against.

When he had Jay Rohr start as a freshman at Jackson....we lost 4 in a row to him. If Canal had beaten Big Walnut in the Regional Semifinal in 2010...he would have had to play us......I know he was looking at that and going I am not so sure...lol...We beat Big Walnut 42 to 14 in the Regional Final. Lake was 5 and 7 against him when he was at Jackson and 2 and 0 when he was at New Philly
