I have not been following the team that much in the off season or the past few years, however it seems like overall excitement is down. Is the new coach going to be a teacher in the building or somewhere else?

Actually excited for this season. Coach Kappas is the real deal. If the players buy into what he's selling the Leopards could have a very respectable season. Reminds me of the Crislip, Farrah type coach. I believe he will be in the building.

My neighbor has a boy playing amd said the new coach is Fantastic so far. Sounds like the "old boys club" running the booster club or football sideline club are giving new coach a hard time already. If what he said is true about who is running that club it's a shame. Can't have such a conflict of interest involved in that stuff. Hope new guy turns things around.

I wonder what kind of issues they are having already. I know when Twiddy came in he had a wish list that wasnt possible with current funds.

Any word on the staff yet? What kind of offensive and defense he is looking to run. Im sure they already had camp.

Not much noise about X’s and O’s, and last I heard, many of those on staff were welcome to come back (I don’t know what happened with Troy Davis wanting to stay on). Probably a new face or two as well. I’m hearing the kids really like him, and there were something like 32 at the freshman team meeting so even if that number drops by first practice that’s promising considering there were like 18 at the end of LL.

It will be hard for Louisville football to ever get back to the levels it was once at. Not because of coaching, but because of talent.
There isn’t / hasn’t been a Bobby Swigert, Tyler Adams, or Drew Kuhn in sight.
When’s the last time you saw a player look look like Joey Duckworth come through the program?

That is awesome about the freshman team, rumor was the might even have one. It is concerning if most of the staff is coming back, I know there is a change in leadership, but I question keeping the same position coaches.

Go outside nerd.
Gotta have jobs to get your people that teach into the district too. Not much available there.

However, Kappas is a great guy and a solid coach. IMO he should have gotten the Mount Union job. Give him some time and I think he gets things turned around. Their schedule should be teams more their size after this year too. That will help.

Best of luck to the Leopards this year.

4 Weeks till the Quakers!
