Louisville made history today, and not the way you want to make history. They must vacate their 2013 national championship and their 2012 final four appearance, including 123 wins.
Now many have already weighed in with the normal what does it matter, they already cut the nets down, etc.
That is true, and it does seem a little trivial, but it's also a huge embarrassment to have these things taken away. History is very important in sports. That time in Louisville sports will never be held in the same stature as the Denny Crum days. Rick Pitino's name is forever smeared in the history of college sports. He was the guy that was there for all of this.
