Looking for songs for a wrestling highlight reel...

A little too long (OK, a lot too long): Forty-six and Two (Tool)
A little off the path: Ecstasy of the Gold (soundtrack to The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly) and Toccata and Fugue in D Minor (J.S. Bach ... soundtrack to Rollerball)

Sirius- The Alan Parsons Project (Cut it down to length you want)
Tom Sawyer- Rush
Training Montage- Vince DiCola (from Rocky)
Set Me in Motion- Bruce Hornsby

Am I that way out of line? I still think that the Queen song “ We are the champions “ is the most awesome pump song ever? It may be a Ballad ... but man it speaks volumes to what wrestling is about

Volbeat Warriors Call. Great hype video to this I thinking from Penn Wrestling a while back.

Thumbs up. The hard practice scene, before state. Sync a wrestler from the bottom position "crawling on my belly" with the lyrics.

LYRICS-

Join in my
Join in my child
And listen, digging through
My old numb shadow
My shadow's shedding skin
I've been picking Scabs again
I'm down, digging through
My old muscles looking for a clue
I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been
I've been wallowing in my own confused
And insecure delusions
For a piece to cross me over
Or a word to guide me in
I want to feel the changes coming down
I want to know what I've been hiding
In my shadow
My shadow
Change is coming through my shadow
My shadow's
Shedding skin
I've been picking
My scabs again
Join in my
Join in my child
Shadow's
Closer to meaning
I've been crawling on my belly
Clearing out what could've been
I've been wallowing in my own chaotic
Insecure delusions
I wanna feel the change consume me
Feel the outside turning in
I wanna feel the metamorphosis and
Cleansing I've endured in
My shadow
My shadow
Change is coming
Now is my time
Listen to my muscle memory
Contemplate what I've been clinging to
Forty six and two ahead of me
I choose to live and to
Grow, take and give and to
Move, learn and love and to
Cry, kill and die and to
Be paranoid and to
Lie, hate and fear and to
Do what it takes to move through
I choose to live and to
Lie, kill and give and to
Die, learn and love and to
Do what it takes to step through
See my shadow changing
Stretching up and over me
Soften this old armor
Hoping I can clear the way by
Stepping through my shadow
Coming out the other side
Step into the shadow
Forty six and two are just ahead of me

You can't go wrong with Tool. Lateralus or Fear Inoculum would also be good.

Lose Yourself by M And M.

Personally, I think this fits the criteria. I have the clean version in my personal playlist. I have to revisit the lyrics though. I kind of tune out after mom's spaghetti. Or rap every line as "mom's spaghetti".

Thanks said_aouita for the Tool lyrics. Frankly, I didn't know many of the lyrics ... only that the song is bad-, and super heavy duty. Kicks the crap out of posers like Five Finger Death Punch (notwithstanding the cool name) and their double-foot-peddle-bass-drums-trying-to-pass-for-decent-heavy-metal!! JMO of course.?

TP & Esco has been our go to for years. These boys know and respect the sport and put it to a beat.

From Spotify:
TP & Esco (Travis Piccard & Michael Arias) are a team from the Midwest who first met while attending college at The Citadel. TP and Esco remain an independent group that makes a major impact with official albums and releases available on all digital retailers online. www.tpandescomusic.com

This is the greatest entrance song ever:

after all that input, are you going to share what you went with???

Still have time to collect but do like Trenches from Pop Evil.

also took to Twitter and received a song called Echelon from Pillar(?). Also found Cochise from Audioslave.might need some editing for length but they work.

But still - time does remain.

I know you asked for three, but I figured I'd throw a few extra at you. I have done some really long highlight films over the years and this is always a tough task... Some of my favorites over the years that everyone else may not know about.

Do Or Die (Afrojack vs. THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS Remix) by Afrojack & Thirty Seconds to Mars
Believer by Imagine Dragons
Turn Down For What by DJ Snake & Lil Jon
Gladiator by Zayde Wølf
My Hero by Foo Fighters
How Far We've Come by Matchbox Twenty
All I Do Is Win by DJ Khaled
Vox Populi by 30 Seconds to Mars
Ruckus by Konata Small
Legend by The Score
Right Now by Van Halen
The Fear by The Score
Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragon

Another thing, I'd add is that throwing in some older stuff helps to bring the parents back into their glory day and is almost always impactful... I've used Baba O'Riley by the Who, Fortunate Son By CCR, and Gimme Shelter by the Stones.

I'm a big fan of 30 Seconds to Mars or The Score if you are trying to keep the same sound and beat.

Best of luck in your endeavors.

I don't think I could get any further off topic, but this is worth a watch. And hey, the kids are from Ohio ;) (Cincy area I believe)

You had me at Tool. Greatest band ever. Incredible show in CLE this year. I believe their lead singer song writer MJK is some sort of belt in BJJ so I presume he is serious. BTW ever notice all of the best singers in heavy music are short dudes? Foe example, Dio (Rip), Bon Scott, Roger Daltrey ....
