Some fun contrasts between the basketball and communities. Certainly I'm rooting local for Shawnee but knowing if it doesn't work out, I'll be a Buchtel fan for at least one game. :)

Shawnee fans are well "entertaining". My parents left the city and moved out to Shawnee a couple years ago and I have not stopped giving them crap since.

He has alot more options than Ohio State! Chris takes education seriously 3.4 student in STEM PROGRAM

While I like the shot at Ohio St academics (being a Purdue grad) they're one of the top large schools in the country in STEM. Just not as good as Purdue. :D

Actually, it was a freshman game. And I know that because my daughter was on the cheer squad. During one of the breaks, she did back flips the length of the floor and the Buchtel crowd booed her. One guy was really obnoxious and he was taken out of the gym. Now I can't swear if he got tossed or was allowed back in, but he was escorted out. My daughter thought the whole thing was funny!

You are absolutely correct! He can go wherever he would like. Again, all I can say is hearsay and repeating rumors. But FWIW, I heard if he played college for one year that the Buckeyes were at the top of the list for the moment because it's close to family and home (which is hugely important to him), he'd play against top competition in the Big 10, and it would only be for one year anyway before he could declare for the NBA draft. Again, no inside information, just rumors.

Similar to the way 2 of the Districts in div 1 got to choose this year, and how STV wrestling chose to go to the Norwalk District this year to avoid the tougher Alliance/Perry District.

I watched some tape on him playing against Trotwood, having never seen him play before and saw exactly what you saw or are seeing. Almost every other bucket scored by the kid was on some full court outlet pass to him resulting in an easy lay up.

So you base it all on one game? I’ve seen him play the last 3 years and watched him dominate games from all over the court.

I was poking some fun at other comments on this thread. The kid is an all-around threat. He just scores.
 
Shawnee just beat them over and over on the offensive end. They had some fast break points but most were from offensive sets. Buchtel really seemed to have no desire to play defense. Finally picked up the pressure over the last 4 minutes or so to cut the lead from 25 down to 10 at one point....but they were never really in contention.
